I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Bench 57.5kg 5-5-3-4-3
Calf Raises 32.5kg 3x27
DB Row 32.5kg 3x5
Sit Ups 3x10 2.5kg
Chin-Ups 8-6-5
Concentration Curls 12kg 3x9

This was not a good session either. Can't wait to start eating like a horse! This is my last session before my holiday, off to Crete on Tuesday so I'll likely gain a bit of weight by the time I'm home!!

Mon Sep 14th

Back in the game! First day back lifting after my holiday and it felt good. Did the squat for the first time in ages as well and it felt good. My goals are now focused on finishing stronglifts, i.e. squatting 1.5xBW, therefore I'm ditching all of the curls, calf raises etc and going back to the program.

Squat 40kg 5x5
Bench Press 55kg 5-5-5-4-4
DB Row 32.5kg 5-5-5-5-4
Pull Ups 8-4-4
Hyperextended Sit-Ups 2.5kg 3x7

Good session despite the stalls. Not lifted for over two weeks so fairly pleased. Only problem is that the gym is much busier since it's the start of term.

Wed 16th September

Squat 42.5kg 5x5
OHP 37.5kg 5-5-5-4-3
Deadlift 45kg 1x5
Chin-Ups 11-6-5 (wow!)
Prone Bridges 3x1min

First time I've improved on Chin Ups for ages! Could have done more but my grip gave out. Squat and deadlift are easy, not gonna rush things though.

Friday 18th September

Usual Warm Up

Squat 45kg 5x5
Bench Press 55kg 5-5-5-5-4
DB Row 32.5kg 5x5
Pull Ups 8-5-3 (yawn)
Hyper Extended Sit-Ups 2.5kg 3x8

Reasonable session today. Squat felt slightly difficult, which was weird. Must be because I'm using proper technique.

Tried to implement Dave Tate's reccommendations on the BP. It's gonna take a few sessions to fully incorporate them as there's a lot to remember.

Pull Ups were tough but I had 2 fairly demanding upper body sets before them so I can let myself off.

Hindu Squats

I'm doing hindu squats for conditioning and have been adding 1 rep per day for the past couple of months. Hit 74 on Saturday, aiming for 76 tonight.

Wed 23rd Sep

Squat 50kg 5x5
Not easy but not too hard.

Bench 55kg 5x5
Avoided deload. Been trying to implement Dave Tate's advice but haven't seen a real impact. Feels kind of awkward.

DB Row 35kg 3x5
Switched to 3x5 as my workout was taking too long. 2x35kg is about my body weight.

Pull Ups 6-5-4
Poor. My arms are beat after the BP and DB Row.

Sit Ups 2.5kg 3x9
Easy Enough.

Fri 25th Sep

Squat 52.5kg 5x5
Going up nicely. Form is better than last time round.

OHP 40kg 5-5-5-5-3
I'm pleased with that for a first attempt. I've been good with my eating so that's probably helped.

Deadlift 55kg
Easy.

Chin Ups 12-8-5
Good.

Fri 2nd Oct

Squat 60kg 5x5
Felt really good, easier than some of the lower weights?!

Bench Press 57.5kg 5x5
Last set was tough but pleased with that.

DB Row 37.5kg 5-5-3/5
Managed 3x5 with right arm and 5-5-3 with left arm. Tried to keep my body as still as possible so that I wasn't helped by the swing. Felt tougher.

Pull Ups 8-5-4
Didn't feel as tired as I usually do.

Hyperextended sit-ups 3.75kg 3x6
On glute ham raise machine.
