I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Ok, first 2 workouts are now under my belt, everything felt fairly easy and am looking forward to the weight going up quite rapidly. I've recently had a back injury, which is pretty much healed but when I tried to do reverse crunches, f*** me it hurt, so gonna replace that exercise with stretch pose, which I learned from kundalini yoga. Also don't have the equiptment to do inverted rows and my back can't handle bent over rows so having to settle for one arm dumbell rows.

Stats so far

Squat - 25kg
Deadlift - 22.5kg
Bench Press - 20kg (using dumbells)
Overhead Press - 22.5kg
One arm row - 10kg
Press ups - 18, 12, 7
Chin Ups - 11, 7, 5

Been away over the weekend and have been bingin on Beer and Junk Food. Gonna eat healthier now I'm back but at least I can console myself with the fact that I've put away plenty of calories!

Did Workout A last night, deadlift was falling too far behind my squat so increased it by 7.5kg to keep up:

Squat 5x5 - 30kg
Overhead Press 5x5 - 25kg
Deadlift 1x5 - 30kg
Pull Ups 6-4-3
Prone Bridges 3x31sec

Weighed myself again on Friday and I've gained 6.5lbs, not bad for 2 weeks!

BW: 152.5lbs (10st 6.5lbs) - 6.5lbs gain
BF: 14.1% (up 1.1%)

So I've gained 2.5lbs of fat and 4lbs of muscle, glycol, water etc

sweet!

Workout yesterday went well, even after a few pints on Saturday night:

Squat 5x5 - 35kg
OHP 5x5 - 27.5kg
Deadlift 1x5 - 35kg
Chin Ups 11-7-4 (think this went down because my body weight has gone up).
Prone Bridges - 3x32s

Last couple of workouts went well, didn't have too much trouble. Although still fairly light, the squat weight is beginning to feel less trivial for 5x5. Its also getting harder to clean and press the bar onto my shoulders for the squat. Looks like im gonna be hitting the gym at about 50kg squat.

Squat - 40kg
OHP - 30kg
Deadlift - 40kg
Pull Ups - 6-4-4
Prone Bridges - 3x33sec

Training sessions have been going good, stats are at:

Squat - 47.5kg
Deadlift - 47.5kg
Bench Press - 37.5kg
One arm dumbell row - 17.5kg
Overhead Press - 35kg

Joined a gym the other day and will have my first session on Monday, can't wait! It's brand spanking new and has two power racks! Sweet!

Went to the gym for the first time on Friday and it is superb - 5 Power Racks! Get in! Only problem is they are closed for a private session every Monday + Wednesday from 4-6pm. I had planned going Mon-Wed-Fri at 5pm when I finished work but luckily my boss has agreed to juggle my hours a bit so I can go at Lunch time instead.

Been getting some pains in my left shoulder recently, which originally began from doing powercleans with poor technique. They were a neccesity when I was working out at home without a power rack but I won't need to do them now I'm at the gym so hopefuly the pain will subside.

Lifts on Friday were:

Sq - 52.5kg
Bench - 40kg
Dumbell Row - 20kg
Explosive Push-Ups - 11-7-5
Sit Ups with 5kg weight - 3x5

Forgot to mention my weight stats:

BW - 70kg
BF - 14%

My goal weight is only 7lbs away. Don't think that's gonna be enough, I notice changes in my body but still look kinda skinny. Might shoot for 12st (76kg).

Heading to the gym on my lunch in an hour or so.

Just had my lunchtime workout and practically had the gym to myself - all 5 power racks! Workout went well and I had negligible pain in my left shoulder. The OHP is getting tough though, I made 5x5 but only just. Not sure if I could have managed 1 more rep.

Stats

Squat - 55kg
OHP - 37.5kg (I feel a stall coming on)
Deadlift - 55kg
Pull Ups 8-5-3
Prone Bridges 3x38sec

Forgot to mention that the pull-up bar at the gym is THICK, much thicker than the one I have at home so my forearms were pretty much throbbing by the end!

Trying to decide how long to bulk for at the minute, I'm thinking about the doing it till the 10 week mark, which would leave 6 weeks for losing some body fat.
