I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Todays workout -

Squats (Warmup 1x5 bar, 1x5 47kg 1x5 77kg 1x5 87kg) PR 97kg 5/5/5/5/5
Benchpress (Warmup 1x5 40kg 1x5 60kg 1x5 70kg) PR 94.5kg 5/5/5/5/5
Barbell Row PR (Warmup 1x5 40kg) PR 74.5kg 5/5/5/5/5
Weighted Dips (Warmup 1x5 1x5 20kg) 30kg 5/5/5

Squats - Great, I was determined to nail this weight before my holiday, feels great knowing I'm only 3kg away from the big 100.

Benchpress - Was not expecting this, form went terrible on the last 2 sets, could not keep my shoulders tight and like usual, the right arm struggled like hell.

Barbell row- No problems.

Weighted dips - Arms felt shagged after all of the above, takes so much energy and stength to achieve PR's, was pleased to get these over and finished with.

Summary - Really pleased with todays workout, was not expecting to hit so many PR's. on holiday for a week now. It will be interesting to see if I can lift the same weight after. Will concentrate on doing 20 mins of stretches and mobility excersices every day during my holiday, and hopefully this will help for when I get back into my training.

I have a week off, spend the whole week eating crap and drinking lager, come back, and over the weekend end up with a bloody sore throat, chesty cough and bunged up nose. :x
Felt like crap this morning when I woke up, so no workout today and possible not for the rest of the week. At this rate I'm sure I will have to deload pretty much everything. Hopefully I can clear it before the end of the week, and get myself back on track and back in the squat competition.

Taking a week off could be the best thing you do mate. I tried to train through a mild flu and it just knocked the energy right out of me and made me feel 10 times worse the next day. Some would argue that you should train through it but in my experience it depletes your immune system further. Maybe a few light sets would've been ok, just to keep the habit of going to the gym.

Good work on your PR's btw, that bench is somethin else!

No workout today, this bloody cold is driving me mad, woke up this morning with a banging headache due to all the coughing and blowing my nose. Somebody at work told me, it took him 3 weeks to get rid of it, I told him I plan on getting rid of it in a week. :|
