I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Late as always (me), but great work indeed! :)

Made it over 100 kgs for my deadlift and am now starting to realize why there's only one set for them in this program. This exercise just sucks the juice right out of you!

So far my mindset when training has been like; "Come on, only 1 more set of squats and then those damn torturous OHP's and then you're done". Leaving no worry for the 1 set of DL's which normally go without a problem. Funny you should mention this now, because yesterday was the first time where i had to think "okay, this is actually getting quite hard, i wonder how it will be with a few more kg's on"... Guess i have my answer now. :D / :|

Again, keep up the good work! :)

Squat - 85 kg x 3, 3, 3
Bench press - 65 kg x 4, 4, 3
Hang power clean - 18 kg x 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
Dips - 3, 3, 2
Reverse crunch - 12 reps x 3

Hang power snatch - 13 kg - Tabata

Second attempt at 85 kg squat but didn't progress. I added 2 kg to my bench and stalled. Today I swapped inverted rows with hang power cleans. I have a lot of work on these because my technique most likely sucks. Dips, it seems I'm stuck at 3 reps but technique is definitely improving. Today I also thought of trying the power snatch for tabata. Again technique here most likely sucked, this seems like a very very difficult movement. I'm doing hang power clean and hang power snatch until I feel my technique gets better and then I'm planning to switch to the whole movement. I'm also planning to progressively load the power snatch for tabata which was very easy today. I used the online tabata timer PG directed me to on my laptop. Great stuff thanks PG!

Overall I felt a lack of energy in todays workout and I was pretty sure I was going to fail the squats before I even started them.

Not a problem Jpez. :D

I understand the lack of energy. I think Guru was the one who said it comes and goes in waves. Be patient. The energy will return and you'll break past 85kg.

Squats - 85 kg x 5, 5, 5 reps
Overhead Press - 48 kg x 3, 3, 3 reps
Deadlifts - 108 kg x 5 reps
Chin ups - 6, 6, 4
Prone bridges with feet on bench - 30 secs

I had plenty of energy today and squats were completed although with bad form. I'm also slowly improving my chin ups.

Squat - 88 kg x 3, 3, 3
Bench press - 65 kg x 5, 4, 4
Hang power clean - 20 kg x 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
Dips - 2, 2, 2
Reverse crunch - 12 reps x 3

Hang power snatch - 15 kg - Tabata

Squat is stuck at 3 reps with bad form I presume. I added a few reps to my bench press. I'm getting a bit better at my power clean technique but I' going to ditch it for barbel rows because I'm getting plenty of power and speed work from the power snatch tabatas I'm doing and my upper back also feels neglected. Dips decreased 1 rep for some reason (maybe because of the increase of volume in my bench press). I'm loving the power snatch movement and the tabata is starting to get my heart pounding a bit. It should be a killer when I increase the weight a bit more.
