I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I'll happily peel back a few kg once I've hit my goals, but I don't want to lose the strength I'm building up, and I think that means keeping the weight up. It's a bit of a mystery for me, since I've never weighed so much in my life.

Same here.

OHP: 5x 65/75/80/95/100/110/115/120/100, 10x80 lb

AWR: 5x170/180/190 cm
BW: 193.7 lb / 87.86 kg

Meant to be a light day.
OHP: Really wanted to get some volume on this today. The gym closing messed up my schedule and I want to keep my recent progress on this lift and the BP in particular.
DL: No grey-outs today. Not as heavy as it should be, though.

Highlight of the day was meeting Mackanno and his lovely wife and getting to work out with them. Mack is a powerful guy and he squats deep and strong. It was great to meet a fellow Stronglifter!

@H: Yeah, people trying to lose weight just don't want to hear about people trying to gain. I can understand, but it can be just as difficult. Mehdi's advice really helps. I realize that even though I thought I was eating a lot of food, I really wasn't.

@Rere: Good to hear from you, pal! Looking forward to more of your updates. :)

Fri. Nov. 13/09

3x:
-Elevated, handle push-ups
-BO DB flys
-Seated OH DB press

As many as possible.
Cycles with 1 min rest between sets.

Couldn't get to the gym so did an upper body w/out at home with 15lb DBs. Amazingly exhausting and left my shoulders, upper arms and chest pumped all afternoon :)

Hope all is well and you've managed at few WOs since 13 Nov!

(Recently)

Cycles of:
Kettlebell swings: 23lb, 20 reps per side
Elevated Push-ups: 20
Pull-ups/Chin-ups (alternate sets): as many as possible
Db Flys: 15lb, 20 reps
Db Press: 23lb, 20 reps
AWR: kneeling, full roll-out, return only halfway, 10 reps
Repeat cycle 3 times, 1 min rest between sets.

The new community centre is STILL not open (was supposed to be open Nov 9) and it's really messed up my training. The added time to drive to the other centres in town has made working out really time demanding. We put our CC memberships on hold (they're good at any CC) while we took a week off in anticipation of the new one opening. If we restart the memberships then we have to go 3x a week but the extra time it takes to get there makes it difficult to schedule. So we're stuck, doing what we can for exercise and waiting for the new CC to open. I'm playing lots of badminton, which is good.

Sorry for the lack of posts. As you can tell from the above, I haven't been too thrilled about my exercise routine these days and didn't feel like posting about it.

Hmm, this post is a real whiny downer. It's not supposed to be, but the situation is just frustrating and there isn't an end in sight yet.

well, you're still getting some work in. When this stuff sorts itself you'll be back at with a vengeance. I look forward to reading about it.
