    I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. :lol: But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Hang Clean 200 lbs 2/0/0/0/0 (wow)

Squat 245 lbs 5/5/5 (MUCH better than last time, new PR)
Press 145 lbs 5/5/4 (damn, so close, 2nd stall at this weight)
Deadlift 315 lbs 1x5 (WOOOOOOOOO new PR, been trying to hit this benchmark for what seems like forever)
Pull-Ups 15 lbs 5/4/2 (used the annoying wide-grip pull up thing with no middle part of the bar)

-Thank you to Mehdi for telling me to keep lifting the weight even if I only get 1 rep per set (in the FAQ). I was considering deloading the squat after the last miserable workout but instead I did my best, and it paid off with a new PR today.

@Wooderson
Thanks man, my goals are getting closer and closer so I am more and more motivated. It looks like I might not hit some of them (especially the deadlift, 315 ->405 x 5 in 2 months??), but it won't be because of a lack of effort.

Dips 60 lbs 5/5/5

@MarkG
Thanks! My progress isn't as fast as I hoped but I've been doing better in the last month than I have all year :D

Crazy how that happens, eh? Progress comes in fits and starts and at times that don't really make sense. Awesome though. If you don't hit your goals that just means you were a bit too ambitious. That's not a bad thing.

Box Squat 250 lbs 5/5/5 (ANOTHER PR, somebody stop me :) )
Push Press 175 lbs 3/3/3/3/3 (PR, but who cares, its just assistance for the press)
Deadlift 320 lbs 1x4 (sooooo close, grip failed on last one, added some static holds with 225)
Pull-Ups 15 lbs 5/3/2 (couldnt get power rack to do them with a bar, so this doesnt really mean anything, no idea if I was going high enough)

@Wooderson
Yeah, its annoying that progress cannot always be constant but I guess its good and it has taught me patience and persistance. I'm hoping to ride this current PR train for the rest of the year, so even if I miss my goals, I'm that much closer to them. You're right in that I probably set them too high

Box Squat 250 lbs 5/5/5 (I'm an idiot, messed up counting the weights and didn't realize until my second set felt way too easy)
Press 145 lbs 5/5/4 (DAMN, sooooo close, third stall at this weight....might go for a 4th attempt before ANOTHER deload)
Deadlift 325 lbs 1x5 (NEW RECORD, and I've got the bloody shins to prove it :) )
Pull-Ups 15 lbs 5/4/3 (seem to have gone down as I have put on a decent amount of weight recently)

Olympic Squat 185 lbs 1x5
Press 145 lbs 5/5/5 (NEW RECORD, finally)
Deadlift 330 lbs 1x2 (Forgot to bring chalk today, lesson learned, my grip failed completely)
Chin-Ups 50 reps

- Switched up to olympic squats after reading several convincing threads and this article, written by a very prominent powerlifter. Box squats have greatly increased my flexibility and strength and PC size. My quads suck though, and I'm not ashamed to say I lift for size just as much as strength.

- After reading several glowing reviews and buying the ebook, I am going to switch over to Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 program next week. For those of you who know this program, I am going to do the Boring But Big assistance work, which looks like a much more effective hypertrophy program than most bodybuilder's splits. I am still debating if I want to do high bar squats or front squats for one of the main exercises. I think I am going to start with high bar squats (like I did today), but will later switch to front squats if I notice excessive back pain.
Since I obviously set the bar too high (no pun intended) on my goals for xmas, I will have to think of some new ones to achieve on this program. Maybe this time I will set moderately easy goals so I can destroy them long before the deadline, feel good about myself, and set new ones :D

Good luck with the new program. The Boring But Big stuff sounds strangely appealing. I'll look forward to seeing what you get up to on that part of the program.

Easy goals sound like the way forward, then smash them and set some more :D

Don't forget your chalk next week!

Yeah BBB is really fun in a masochistic kind of way :D
Started a new training log here, think those goals are more attainable. Chalk is a must for the 5x10 deadlifts, I feel like my forearms are going to give out first anyways :shock:
