    I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. :lol: But I did. Good morning,

I have been getting pain in what seems like my IT band (right hip) when I run past a certain speed. We are thinking it could potentially be an lld caused by my scoliosis (or the other way around, who knows). I would like to know: If my legs are the same length but the difference comes from a hip bone bringing the leg in (acquired lld), is there some kind of exercises I can do to make sure the bone stops bringing my leg in? We've taken x-rays but won't get results until next week so I figured I'd ask here in the meantime.

The best way to see if your legs are the same length is to measure them with an old fashioned tape measure. Work from the bony land marks and measure each bone separately then add up the totals and see if they match.

With reference to ' the bone bringing the leg in' the obvious answer is to strengthen the muscles which rotate outwards on the affected side. That said I would get someone who knows what they are doing to take a look at your lower back. In particular the sacroiliac joints and pubic symphasis which may be dysfunctional.
