Lower back pain

Hello all :)

I started stronglifts a around 3 months ago and I squat fine with good form and technique from 20kg all to 80kg. But lately when trying to do 82.5kg I really had to work it and as a result I slouched and ever since my lower back hurts. Should I do some exercises or look at some medical advice?

I'm a bit reluctant to go to medical advice as the last times my knees hurt when I bent them they don't me not to do any exercises like squats. Days later I started stronglifts and now my knees are healthy :)

Are you saying on your 82.5 lift, you rounded your back, it hurt, and it still hurts? If so, you may need to stop for a week or two and give it a chance to heal. Just use your judgement on when to start back. It doesn't sound too bad, so it shouldn't take too long. When you start back, you may want to deload and restart at 70 or 72kg, not at 80 or 82.

Dimmah,
There is no reason why subject your body to pain that could very well worsen into injury. De-load, go easy for a couple of weeks and then start adding weight again. It is important to watch your technique and posture too. Don't worry, everybodoy de-loads, in fact, I consider de-loading a tool to better my WO.
Cheers!
I know you really, really want it Nefesh, but is not in anyone's best interest. Not even yours
