    I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. :lol: But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

@Mouse:
I haven't get to set up an account for the pics, I've been painting the house and other things and haven't even taken them. I'll be away for 5 days and will take the opportunity to take them. BTW, how was the course? I hope it was something fruitful for you!
I showed my lovely wife the tgu vid and she just looked at me and started laughing! I guess she just pictured me in the leotard . . .  bad wife, lol

Today the squats felt good but a little heavy. I kept thinking about that TV program where fat people compete to get healthy, it really helped me because makes me realize all it takes is the determination and will to do it. That plus all the input from this awesome community, thank you all guys!
Squat: 5/5/5/5/5 with 74.8kg
Overhead press: 5/5/5/5/5 with 43kg
Deadlift: 5 with 79.2kg
Pull-ups: 8,5,5
I am practising the TGUs at home and soon they will join the program.
Have a great week end all!

Hey guys!
I am here in beauftiful La Paz, Mexico. Sorry I have to enjoy the sun, beaches, really good food, etc. etc. LOL LOL!
The hotel has no bar, only dumb bells and machines, so I will have to improvise. I spend all day yesterday watching whales so tonight I am going to the gym. I´ll see how it goes.
I promise to drink a shot of tequila for each of you ! ! !

Oh, SWEET! Nice one, Mack. Do you mean this La Paz, on Baja Sur? If so, make sure you rent a car and go visit Todos Santos about two hours south on the west coast. A beautiful little town, full of colour and artists. Lots of surfing beaches near-by. Or try Cabo Pulmo on the eastern coast for amazing reef snorkeling (without the little jellyfish stings of La Paz bay). I know there are lots of other La Pazes in Mex. Wherever you are, take it slow and sunny, Mack. Have a great time! :)

Slow down cowboys, I am back . . .  not much of a long vacation, lol.
@Kib:
we went to Magdalena Bay, on the west coast, to do whale watching. The experience was terrific, but it took three hours to get there! We'll have to go back for more 'relaxing time" soon.

@ Mouse and Mehdi:
The best surfing I do is on the web, LOL.
I did squats without weight because the gym at the hotel had nothing and the one at the beach club closes at six pm! What a shame! I was picturing myself doing my reps there wearing my leopard thong having all the chicks going bananas, but no gym and even less chicks (well, there was the cleaning lady but she would be more interested in working that watching me, LOL)
I"ll hit the gym back tomorrow, I am thinking on doing all the exercises to somehow recover some lost ground.

What a day at the gym today. Squats felt heavy, and I am not sure if I did 5 or 6 sets, I hope it was 6. I also added Deadlifts, Overhead press and pull-ups because I felt guilty for missing two days of training this week. In the barbell row I lowered to 56.8 when the first set was 100% pure crappiness (if there is such a word).
Over all I definetely felt an impact on my performance after missing monday and tuesdays' workout. Not a pleasant feelling. On the bright side, I increased to 81.4kg on the deadlift.
Squat: 5/5/5/5/5/6? with 74.8kg
Bench press: 5/5/5/5/5 with 56.8kg
Barbell row 5/5/5/5/5 with 56.8kg
Deadlift: 5 with 81.4kg
Dips: 14,8,5
Pull-ups: 8,5,5

Better, thanks for asking Mehdi. I guess the shoulder dislocations helped, plus doing more exercise than before makes the body reagin whatever lost due to inactivity. I am a bit sore today but feel great!
Congrats on the growing of the web page, I really like your approach not only to exercise but somwhow to life in general. Kudos!
