I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I am going to begin my log officially. I am Alex i am 20 in October and attend a maritime based military academy. I have been lifting on and off since I was 16 but didn't get serious until last winter. I have begun to become very passionate about lifting and bettering my body and mind.

STATS:
Height 5'10"
Weight 200 Pounds
Body Fat % Not sure, i would say after looking at others it probably hovers around 15-18%

Deadlift 1rm 405
Squat 1rm 425
Bench 1rm 205
Pullups 10
Dips 15
I lift heavy M/W/F and do calisthenics almost every day.
My diet has change drastically since going back to school, I abstain from sugars and starches and fried foods, I follow the 8 nutrition rules and have begun trying to lose fat. I supplement with whey protein, an omega 3/6/9 supplement and a multi vitamin. I also began using a fat burning supplement to further my fat loss goal.

I am on the anabolic diet, just finished the introductory phase and had my first carb up today. Absolutely liking this diet, low carbs work very well with my body.

Hi MM,

Read in your intro that you're using (or used) a fat-burning supplement. What were you using? I hope it wasn't a hydroxycut type of product.
Anyway, good lifts, we are about the same strength wise.

Glad you started a log. I find having one is a valuable resource of information and support.

Are you following a particular program? And if so which one?

Any other goals besides fat loss?

I basically have fitted together pieces of different programs I like and came up with my own.

Other than fat loss my other main goal is increase strength, which will help my fat loss.
