I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Hip pain this week on Squats, annoying. Knees buckle in all the time on heavy sets. Don't know why didn't use to have this problem. Need to backoff with the daily push-ups (+100 a day), messes with the press I think. Waiting to get a pull-up bar for apartment so I can alternate push-ups/pull-ups.

Other than that: weekend!

* the push-ups seems to mess with the rest, but I'll admit I'm doing them until failure :s

I tend to squat wide, too wide, hence the hip pain I always get I think. Narrowed it a bit now, which makes same weight harder.

Hm, most people I know have birthdays in the spring, nice and far away from major holidays :D.

And Mehdi, I remember you kicking around the idea for another e-book, anything going on with that?

"Knees buckle all the time on the heavy sets" Perhaps some external hip flexor work will help remedy this. It helped me out quite a bit. Are you sure you are really FORCING them out when you go down? If not you may not have to do any work at all and just work on technique a bit more. Everyday when I read articles on squatting it just seems more and more technical of a lift.
There is no skin underneath Chuck Vogelpohl's beard. Only more bands, chains and monolifts.
Goals: @75kg BW. 150kg squat, 100kg bench and 170kg deadlift.

Squats are awfully technical, indeed. Just think about the list of things you need to ensure you're doing, the amount of time you have to execute them in each rep, and the load of weight on your back making it harder to think much less concentrate.
