I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Gender: Male
Age: 19
Height: 5'8
Weight: 153 lbs.
Body fat: No idea

Stats in Week 1 (pathetic):
Squat: 140 lbs.
Deadlift: 135 lbs.
Bench Press: 135 lbs.
Overhead Press: 70 lbs.
Chin ups: 8 to failure
Push ups: 26 to failure
Inverted Rows: 14 to failure
Reverse Crunches: 17 to failure
Prone Bridges: Completed without weight

My main goal is to move all of my major lifts into the intermediate category (http://www.exrx.net/Testing/WeightLifti ... dards.html) for my weight class. I also want to gain ~10 lbs. of quality weight and be able to compete at a higher level in sports. I was an athlete as a kid, and more recently competed in BJJ and submission wrestling tournaments. After I started university, I slacked, didn't work out for a year and got weak. I went to a jiu jitsu class recently and got beat up pretty bad. I'm starting with the 5x5 Beginner Strength workout, and hopefully I'll see the gains everyone else has :D

PS I may be completely retarded, but how do you put the link to my training log in my sig? I tried the way it was shown in the training log tutorial, but it didn't work.
