I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I'm right-handed and footed. The right side of my body is a bit bigger everywhere compared to my left side. I see it is more pronounced on my right erectors compared to my left, as one particular example. Anyone else getting this?

Use dumbbells if you really want to correct it.
Why are you squatting in the curl rack?

Pretty much standard with barbell use. If it really bothers you, dumbells/ unilateral movements will minimize the difference.
Goals:
Squat- 315 lbs 5x5
Deadlift- 400 lbs 1x5 (regular grip)
Press- 205 lbs 1x5
Current (known) 1RM:
Squat: 371 lbs
Clean: 220 lbs

oh ok. It doesn't bother me that much, and not really at all now that I know it's actually common. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me.

Yep, for sure. My left pec is bigger and my right bicep is bigger (go figure).

Mine too! My right side muscles are all a bit bigger except for my pecs. The left one is bigger, lol.

same here.. i'm right-handed yet my left side is bigger.
i was told it has to do with one shoulder always being stronger than the other one (using it more often when growing up / playing sports) and other muscles compensate either side when lifting weights.

Now throw bad-technique into the equation, like i did, and yes you'll end-up with muscular imbalance.

to avoid further imbalancing your muscles -> focus on technique and no procrastination.. great that it doesn;t bother you :) i used to be maaaad about it ! and it got better the day i stopped caring !

Thanks man. I don't think it has much to do with technique in my case. Especially because my upper body exercise technique I'm sure is very good and the imbalance is there as well. It's probably just natural when using barbells like has already been established.
