I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Need advice on presciption glasses..

Postby ArshNZ on Mon Oct 05, 2009 6:04 am

Eye test last week confirmed that I really need prescription glasses. I had a test at specsavers and ordered my glasses from them but when I came home I was surprised to find that the pair I have ordered is listed under "Women's glasses" on their website

Here is that pair: http://www.specsavers.co.nz/glasses/womens-glasses/th19

Is that pair really a women's pair or more of a uni-sex one? When I ordered it the staff didn't mention anything about it being a women's pair. I personally think the pair looks quite good and is uni-sex one but thought I'd confirm anyway. So should I stick to this pair or make use of their 30-day free replacement offer to get another pair?

Just fyi, here is the other pair that I ordered: http://www.specsavers.co.nz/glasses/mens-glasses/th25
My worst fear is that one day I will meet a person I could have been.

Look pretty androgynous to me! Kind of similar to my own, actually, now that I think of it.

But hey! Now you can push your glasses up the bridge of your knows to emphasize nerdy comments! :)

The look just fine. Don't lose sleep on it, unless they were like pink with a unicorn on each side
I know you really, really want it Nefesh, but is not in anyone's best interest. Not even yours

This was all covered on an episode of Seinfeld: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Glasses

In all seriousness your glasses look fine.

Thanks for the advice people. I have been wearing them for more than a week now and they've become almost second nature.
