    I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. :lol: But I did. I'll go ahead and put this in laymen terms, squats are starting to make my ass big. I've noticed it, my mom and my dad have commented on it too. It's not fat either, my bodyfat level is pretty low. Part of the problem is, I have very narrow hips so a big ass is magnified. I'm thinking about dumping squats. Any thoughts?

i cant believe you asked us what we think? of course we are going to tell you to keep squatting. squatting is king of all exercises. your glutes and hams should be growing as you get stronger and thats the point. if you want a small little physique maybe 5X5 isnt your cup of tea (or whatever program you are doing since its not stronglifts anymore). i almost hope you are joking man. soon your legs will fill out your skinny jeans as well and then what? cmon man, lift heavy and enjoy being strong. caring about your butt size is ridiculous.

so dont stop squatting if you care about strength.

Listen guys, I'm not a panzy ass bodybuilder. I threw away my pink dumbells a long time ago. However, I do care about my physique to an extent, and I simply find a big ass to be an undesirable physical trait for a male.

Tell that to the girls who are soaking all over your ass right now. Remember: advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer, but wish we didn't. You know about the squat, you're just fooling yourself by wanting to hear a different answer.

Dude are you kidding me?

First of all your a guy, unless you wear skin tight jeans (like a female) you really have nothing to worry about.
Second; male's aren't the only ones that find a nice 'ass' attractive. Trust me on that one. Woman like men with nice asses to okay? I can tell you from a personal view point that it's true. :)

Damn skippy. My wife loves my big ass. It's big and hard as rock. And, as I found out recently, most of the women at the office like it, too.

Deads would be probably the 2nd best exercise for mass and strength, but you can't replace squats with anything.
