I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

No Xplode

Postby Shox on Tue Nov 03, 2009 9:12 pm

Well, i just started taking this (been on it about 2 weeks now), and i must say i think it's brilliant, helps me take my workouts to a completely new level, and also helped me break my bench plateu (placebo effect? maybe, but it definately does something for you). I was wondering if anyone else here takes it or has any experience with it.

hmm well i don't think its a placebo effect. I started taking it as some of my housemates took it, and i was skeptical when i took it but was surprised. It has nitric oxide, creatine, vitamins, carb blend and caffeine in it. It definately does something,i know a lot of people are skeptical about it but im very happy with what it does :)

Doesn't it just contain coffein, taurin and some creatine??

Might as well just drink a cofee and save probably several hundred bucks a year lol

I normally just drink a strong coffee or tea 30 minutes pre training, certainly does the trick for me and is way cheaper.

Well, wether it's a placebo effect or not, NO Xplode does a hell of a lot more for me and my friends that take it than a coffee. I've broken 2 plateus i was stuck on for months whilst on it and am pretty happy with how its been going =] I recommend some of you try it before forming such strong opinions on it. I wonder out of the people who say it's rubbish etc, how many people have actually tried it (Not trying to be a prick, just curious).

I used something similiar (Dark Rage) once and it worked for me too. Nothing magical, but it gives you a good kick and allows you to train harder and longer without tiring out. And it also gave me crazy euphoria. Problem with this stuff is that once you stop using it, it is hard to train with the same intensity. I admit, every workout was as if I was high. But its not healthy to use.

Yes, stimulants work. So does amphetamine. Question is if making your heart beat even faster during a heavy set of squats is a good idea.

This stuff is probably harmless and might even give you a certain edge, but don't overestimate simple 'supplements'. The clue's in the title.
Feeling confident and full of energy can help you break through plateaus. I cannot argue with that, but it was still you who moved the weight. Your diet, your training, your recovery. I think the No Xplode's role in this was minor at best.

I disagree. I definetly felt way different when I took it.

It places way more stress on your cardiovascular system than what's healthy for you. I think it's okay a few times, but not every time you workout.

If you first start using it, you'll probably be dissappointed when you stop using it. You might get 'hooked' on the 'pump' you feel and want to use it everytime. I don't really think that's good for your system...

I tried it once, and yes, it gave me a good pump. I've also tried some other stuff that I will not mention here, and I can tell you that noXplode had almost the same effect on the cardiovascular system as the other 'stuff' I snorted.

Conclusion here is, I don't think it's good for you.

iCookie, if you're talking about training with amphetamines, I hope you've changed your ways. I'm not one to preach about drugs, but people have died from training on too much efedrine, which is pretty much like green tea compared to speed or some other chemical stimulants (not talking about random supplements here).

If you're talking about cocaine... What are you, scarface? :D Save it for the weekend, if that.

My 2 cents.

I was given some free samples by a company I ordered protein/creatine from. I tried it for a couple of workouts. Noticed zero effects.

In my opinion it is just a placebo and some caffeine. Having said that, the placebo effect has been proven to be extremely powerful.
Injured :(
