I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Age: 21 yrs

Height: 5' 11''

Weight: 215 lbs

BF%: Around 20%

I have been working out for 2 years consistently now. I decided to go with Stronglifts 5x5 because I like it's structure and simplicity. I have done split body part training until now, aside from doing DoggCrapp training for a 3 month period.

Monday was my first day, Workout A.

Squat 235 lbs x 5 x 5

Bench 225 lbs x 5 x 5

Inverted Rows 20, 12, 8

Pushups 30, 23, 15

Reverse Crunch

I plan on positing some beginning pictures to help track my progress to beastliness.

Workout B

Squat 245 lbs x 5 x 5

Overhead Press 95 lbs x 5 x 5

Deadlift 275 lbs x 5

Pullups 3f 9,5,4

Prone Bridges

All weights were good. Confident next workout will see a 255 x 5 x 5 squat, and increases in the other lifts as well.
I should come up with some long term goals, but it's hard to set any definitive point when I haven't gotten stuck on a lift yet. After a few weeks I should know.

Workout A

Squat 285 x 5 x 5...better form..less back pain than before.

Bench Press 245 x 5 x 5 ...I surprised myself with completing this lift. I've never gone this heavy on bench before...this is uncharted territory for me.

Inv Rows 20,12,8 ...squeezed out two extra at the end this time.

Dips 23,15,10 ...two more in the middle set than before.

Crunches

Great workout for sure. I'm stronger than I have ever been on the Bench Press.

Workout B

Too much lower back pain remaining from my last workout. Something must be wrong with my squat form, even though I have had it checked in person. I think I may have Lordosis (sp?), cause I def got monkey butt, and I may be 3 months pregnant.

I dropped the squats and the deadlift today for other exercises :(

OH Press 135 x 5 x 5 It's a good feeling to see 45's on the end of a bar when your gettin it up over your head.

Chin Ups 13,7,4, Went up by 1 each set

Leg Ext
Leg Curl
Low Pulley Rows
Shrugs
Prone Bridges

Updated Goals
Bench: 265 x 5 x 5
OH Press: 145 x 5 x 5

Workout B

Giving the lower back a break..no squats for some time...maybe switch to an alternate routine with squats every other workout...the poundage is getting a bit high to squat 3 days a week. At least until my lower back becomes accustomed to it.

Deadlift 305 x 5 x 5

OH Press 145 x 5 x 5

Pull ups 12,7,6

Prone Bridges
