    I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. :lol: But I did. Recently my brother bought avocados for REAL cheap. we have at least 80 and yes thats quite alot. I dont plan to eat all of it but I do plan to eat alot of it.

I wanted to change my diet around a bit. Try to eat 1-2 avocados daily. So each meal will be a protein (meat/whey) with 1/2 avocado and a fruit/vege.

Would you say this is ok? I just hope im not gettin too much of somethin that could make it bad. I heard too much vitamin A for example, is really bad for you. I also have HEAPS of strawberries lol again thanks to my brother and his cheap findings so I will eat 4-5 small packs of that a day. so one small poack per meal.

what do u guys think about this avocado/.strawberry thing lol

You would need a lot of fruit and veg to get enough vitamin A for levels to be deemed toxic. Munch on.

Still, you may get the shits eating that many strawbs. :P

My wife loves avocados. She could eat 1-2 per meal. I think you might have trouble eating 80 of them before they go bad though.

yeh me and my bro will have to share it. its prob a 100 avocados in total. ur wife could eat 1-2 in a meal? man i ate half today and it made me feel kinda sick. im use to it now but i reckon if i tried 1 in a meal id puke. its too much fat.

u guys rekon it will b good for weight loss though? im tryna burn fat here too lol. really all i eat now is some protein (meat, whey, egg whites) with a vege and a fruit. i always add 1-2 tablespoons of omega 3 fat and rarely eat carbs. now im thinkin of replaceing the omega 3 with a 100grams of avocado. hope it works lol

How are you eating them?

Make guacamole if they're ripe, mash them up, add chopped tomatoes, a bit of lemon juice and salt. Fill a taco with whatever you like and top it off with the guacamole, half an avacado in each taco is enough.

i aim to eat 1-2 avocados a day. so half an avocado in each meal. im just mashing it up and adding it to whatever i eat. My favourate is mashed avocado mixed with vanilla ON whey and strawberries. it tastes really good with whey.

my meal plan now is basically a protein + vege + fruit + fat and the fat is now just avocado for 3-4 meals and other 2 meals will b fish oil.

but actually tahts quite a good idea. sounds good. and yeh they are all ripe thats prob why we got them so cheap lol

Avocados actually freeze pretty well for guacamole later. Or just mix up a big batch of guacamole and freeze it. Seal in a really air tight container as avocado will pick up that freezer taste pretty easily.

see thats the thing. i looked it up recenlty for freezing. they say if ugotta take it out and add table spoon of lemon per avocado then mix and freeze. thats alot of effort if im to do it for all of em. this is stuff i seen around the net. no source has said u could just freeze it like it is, which is odd coz i thought u could lol

Note that they are kind of conservative about how long things will keep in the fridge; In my experience if they say it will last one day it will last about three or four.

Also, If you make guacamole in advance, I'd recommend adding the tomatoes just before you serve it. It gets kind of ookey if they are left to sit in it.

Just be warned, avacadoes are like 400 calories each, they contain a bunch of oil, which is why they're so creamy and delicious. Oeleric acid, same as olive oil, which is an omega-6 fatty acid (good for cholesterol).
