I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Seems like you really enjoy the new workout. You sound way more motivated :D It's more difficult to see you progress now though. :(

Reverse dips can be very cool. If you can get some one to help out, you can have them stack plates on your lap to add weight.

A lady in the gym asked hubby to stack some plates for her. She asked for 2 45lbs plates. Hubby didn't give a second thought as to where his hands were at as he was putting them on her lap. The weight of the plates pushed his hand right between her legs.

I told him to watch out. Pretty soon all the ladies will be asking for him to stack plates.

I've got to do something. Hubby snapped a picture of me while I was drinking my coffee this morning sitting on the couch. Just when I was starting to feel better. Damn! I could smack him for taking the shot. Now I know why I'm always the one taking the pictures.

Oh well. I just need to keep doing what I'm doing and not let it mess with my head. :|

I do enjoy the workout. Still just as challenging but a in a different way.

It is more difficult to see progress because fat loss isn't as evident as lifting higher weights each workout. It's going to be a long process. I've got to dig my heels in for the long term.

He was horribly embarrassed by it and apologized to her. It was not intentional. But I had to give him shit. What kind of wife would I be if I didn't laugh at his expense.

Hubby isn't as bad as I am. But it's one of those things he loves about me.

I got up to 6 plates on my lap before I had to find a different exercise. Having all that weight pressed up against my stomach and chest made it difficult.

The funny thing was, that the two guys I worked out with (still good friends), that one of them, any time I out did him in a lift, we stopped doing it. He could do 6 plates on his lap, but could only get 5-6 reps, I was getting 2-3 sets of 10.

Fun, but tough. After doing heavy deads yesterday morning, I had no legs last night. The best thing I do is set picks. I got on a team with a guy that's 6'8" and about 300 pounds. Between the two of us, we set some hellatious picks. My problem is I don't sleep well after playing bball in the evenings, my muscles are to tight. I'm debating whehter or not to keep playing.

I'm glad you had fun. :) Is there a way to rearrange your workout schedule to accomodate the basketball? I know you love cardio as much as I do. So if the opportunity comes along to find something you enjoy I'd say do what can to continue. The weights will be there when you finish the season.

ETA: Although I understand the sleep issue. I've been having problems sleeping also. Makes it difficult to get through the day.

I'm thinking about that, as well. I could have DE leg day on Monday and (as I call it) bench assistance day on Tuesdays (what I already do) and then both ME days on Thursday and Friday. I'll see. I don't really want to not play, I enjoy it too much. I just have to make up my mind.
