Actually, I do play piano and keyboards. That first picture is obviously when I was younger. I'm bigger now. The second picture sure looks like me and what I'd do.

This workout was better than last. I was able to get one more rep on the last 2 sets on squats. I want that set of 10 @ 115. I'm aiming for it on Saturday. I'll have to eat a good breakfast before I go.

Bench was good. I accomplished one more rep than last time on the 4th set.

I think I was having too much fun with the SLDL but my grip gave out on the last set.

I wasn't able to clean and press. I tried at 65 lbs but I couldn't get it up. I tried again with 55 and the same thing happened. So I dropped the bar and walked away for a minute to let my frustration subside.

I came back to the bar and decided to do push press instead. The whole point of this week is volume. It doesn't do me any good if I'm not getting volume.

I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 3 lbs. I haven't check bf% but that number coming down is a good sign. I'll do the official measuring at the end of the month.

Also I'll be keeping a food journal and sending it to a friend for review every 3 days. I think it's working already because a girlfriend of mine was trying to convince me to eat the rest of her burger from McDonalds. I refused because I didn't want to admit to him I ate it.

Definitely works. Hate to tell to a reviewer that I had junk. Oh yeah.

I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 3 lbs.

That's excellent! Would be very interesting to see the numbers at the end of the week.

Good to read that you're happier with your workout. So much easier to keep motivated and wanting to go back.
Accountability really works wonders. For me that's one of the main reasons I keep a log on SL. I could quite easily only be keeping my spreadsheet up to date, but by putting it down in writing on here, I know that there are people keeping an eye on what I'm doing (and hopefully they wouldn't be too shy about kicking my butt when necessary!)
3lbs here, 3lbs there, it'll soon mount up. Keep chipping away. :D

@Zizzy - I'll be interested to see the numbers also. It is hard to confess but I'm going to have to. My choice of a post workout meal was less than stellar.

@Dave - I thought about keeping a food log but it's hard enough for me to keep up with my workout log let alone a food log. I'm happy with having one person to confess. I know he'll call me on whatever BS he sees. No worries there.

That's some serious discipline there. I wouldn't be able to resist, unless it was some Filet O Fish or Vege burger.

Good work, PG! Nice to see that your coffee shop is doing well, even in these poor economic times. :D Maybe you're being helped by the Starbucks locations that are getting closed.

I wouldn't call it discipline. . . . more like not wanting to lose face. I had just made the deal with him that very same morning.

If it were up to me Starbucks would either be out of business or invest in good coffee. Their coffee sucks! I avoid it unless I'm REALLY desparate.

Although one person hasnt made it in yet. Too bad he hates coffee. Maybe I should serve bananas and see if he shows up.
