I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Wednesday! :D

Squat 5x5@77.5kg New PR!. I didn't want to wait another week for a new PR. Yesss!
Bench 5/5/3/4/0@65kg For some reason I cannot reach that 1xBW milestone... frustrating.
Inverse Row 3xF 8/4/5
Pushup 3xF@15kg 11/7/5 Starting to come back to my usual levels.
Reverse Crunch 3x12 A nice one to finish with.

All in all a nice workout with a new PR. On to Friday!

Friday! :D

Squat 5x5@80kg New PR! Nice! Keep 'em coming. I did do something to my right leg, hopefully that will heal quickly.
Press 5/5/5/3/4@40kg Attempting a new PR with 45... not even one rep. I have to get stronger!
Deadlift Skipped these - I sometimes get a nagging feeling in my lower back after my 2xBW, I'm going to give it some extra rest. Also I have a long motorbike ride tomorrow :)
Chinup 3xF 11/7/4 Nice.
Prone bridge 3x30s The usual.

Cheers 8)

Wednesday! :?

I've just returned from the annual week-with-the-family-holiday, this year in Belgium, near Yvoir/Dinant. It was a blast.

For some reason afterwards I've been feeling tired and generally not like lifting, but I forced myself anyway. Here goes:

Squat 5/3/@82.5kg Didn't expect to make this after a 1+week inactivity. Crashed in second set due to bad lowering.
Bench 5/5/5/5/4@65kg Failed the last rep to get 1xBW. Frustrating.
Inverse Row 3xF 7/6/3
Pushup 3xF@15kg 10/7/5
Inverse Crunch 3x12@10kg

At least I've gotten 'prepared' now for lifting on Friday, see how that goes.

Cheers 8)

First time at this weight and after a week off already able to complete 1 set and make 3 on the second ?
You'll make it next time ;)

Been there, done that, it sucks indeed

Monday! :?

Friday's workout was cancelled due to severe soreness from a 6+ hour fire response the day before. Bah. I was afraid it would influence my lifts, and lo and behold, it did.

Squat 5/3, 3 After two failed sets at 82.5 kg, and another one at 80, I figured my legs were not up for it today. I'm not too worried, but pissed.
Press 5/4/4/5/5@42.5kg This Press was brought to you by squat rage.
Deadlift 1x5@130kg Very nice execution gives me hope for a new pr next time!
Pullup 3xF 9/6/5
Prone bridge 3x30s Burning and rattling, but nice.

On to Wednesday, on to 1x5BW. Cheers 8)

Hi pangram, great progress. Don't stress too much about missing squats, you are posting respectable numbers.

Wednesday :?

Thanks, AD69 :)

I got into bed at 1AM, after running the bar at the fire station (yes, we have a tap). It was nice, but people stayed around too long.
I figured I could still get a good 7 hours sleep, but my fire beeper went off at 4:30am. Try to get back to sleep after getting back (false alarm, back at 5:05 am) is hard. I was tired and had a headache today.

Still, lifting awaited.

Squat I crashed on my first set of 82.5. I crashed on my first set of 80. I had 2x5@75, 1x5@77.5, 3x5@80. BAH.
Bench Press 5x5@65kg 1xBW, NEW PR. Finally!
After the Bench Press my headache went away. This isn't the first time lifting gets rid of a headache for me. Interesting!
Inverse Row 3xF 10/5/4
Pushup 3xF@15kg 15/9/8. Very nice! I'm usually lower.
Reverse Crunch 3x12@10kg Usual.

Apart from the squatting, a decent workout. Frustrating that recently I crushed 3 squat PRs in a week, and I can't even squat my old record anymore. I'll get back there, but it's frustrating nonetheless.

On to Friday.

Cheers 8)

I also forgot to mention that last night the fire dpt sawed down a bunch of trees - which involved lifting a bunch of branches / trunk sections and lugging around a chainsaw for a good while. I made sure I applied deadlift and ohp where necessary ;)

One of my favourite activites is randomly deadlifting objects if im moving items or whatever. And grats with the Benching :)

Friday! :?

Squat 5/5/3@82.5kg From my body straining to simply stay upright under the weight I'm surprised I got this far. I made sure I ate plenty, got plenty of sleep but still failed. Better luck next time - slowly inching (lifting?) towards a new PR.
Press 5x5@42.5kg New PR! And nice form :)
Deadlift 1x1@135kg Well, it finally happened. After half a year in the program (it feels like two weeks still :) ) I finally stalled on the deadlift. The first rep went up. Hard, but good. Then the second one I couldn't lift. Tried again. Couldn't. Took a short break. Tried again, half a rep. I guess I should know when I am defeated. Also here, better luck next time :)
Chinup 3xF 8/8/5 . Improving.
Prone Bridge If this doesn't cause me trouble I'm not exhausted enough :) Hard but just.

All in all, one new PR, one stall. It could be worse. It took me half a year to stall on the deadlift so I'll take pride in that :)

Cheers 8)

Pangram. Slowly, slowly, lifty monkey as KIB would say :D . You're doing really well mate, and you're getting results because you keep at it, well done. 8)
