I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Yeah, your bench is really shitty

Nice tip on the OHP, maybe I'll give it a go next time I stall. It's a lot of fun working with weights light enough for speedy lifting.

You got me curious with that pull-up comment. With your main lifts numbers I would expect that you can do a lot of these. Have you tested your max reps lately? A mate of mine did 32, which is pretty sick, he was deadlifting 395 lbs. at the time. I have a feeling he didn't let his arms extend fully at the bottom of the movement though. He did admit that he didn't go below parallel when going for max attempts at the squat, so I guess he might have been cheating on his pull-ups as well...

i actually have gotten better at pullups. what i did was get to the top position and hang there as long as i could for about 4 sets. i did that for a few weeks and then i was able to do around 5 pullups

I will be doing Garm Olafson's deadlift program. 90lbs in 4 months, so I will be done with that program in January. I estimate I should be deadlifting about 580 by then. After that I plan to start another Smolov. I have big plans this year with squat and deadlift, all I need is to get my shitty bench up.

God damn! I really hope you make that goal, post a video if you do.

Deadlift- 400 lbs 1x5 (regular grip)

no i wish. i had such high expectations with that program. the last week of it i was supposed to pull 535 for a triple but i only got a double. then the next week i couldnt even do 561 so imo the program was a big waste

all your major lifts are nice man. i think if you can get into some weighted chins and work on lat strength you will see a jump in bench and OHP. good lifting man and hopefully football keeps you injury free at least for you, enjoy your strength and put a beating on the other guys ;)
