    I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. :lol: But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Plantar fasciitis (Policeman's Heel) - Advice please

A few weeks ago I noticed an odd pain from walking. After a quick trip to the doctors it happens that I have Plantar fasciitis, or "Policeman's Heel". I'm led to believe that its something that will ease with time, though Its now taken me out of training for over two weeks.

So, I'd like to get the community's advice. Should I;

  • take a few weeks out to let things heal?
  • continue with squats/dead-lifts while?
Is there anything else I should take into account, know, or consider to get me through the healing phase?

Had it 2times, both feet. Tips
* Hardcore stretching for your calves & feet
* Hardcore ankle mobility
* Hardcore foam rolling for calves (not for your feet)

Hardcore means multiple times per day.

Stop things like running if you're doing that. Squats/deads are ok if they don't hurt. Pain should go away within 10 days if you do things correctly.

Thanks Mehdi. Were there any specific online resources you used to gather information on exercises for the items you mention?

Fixing your feet by John Vohnhof. Best book on topic ever.
