I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

@ jpez: I watched some of World's Strongest Man, and imo there is just no way that Pudzianowski is not on some form of roids.

Is his image really a good role model?

Yeah for sure the guys on steroids. I'm not for or against steroids, I believe everyones got the right to do whatever they want with their body. Of course in competition it's different, it gives you an unfair advantage against your opponents if he chooses not to take, which isn't right. Personally I've never touched the stuff or ever wish to and I don't like what it does to the human physique, but that's me.

I think he is a good role model. Take a closer look at some of his training videos, think of the sacrifice, dedication and intensity he puts into his training. Think about how strict he has to be with every aspect of his life and how disciplined to achieve what he achieves. This is how the man himself put it in an interview I found here. http://www.marunde-muscle.com/forum/sho ... .php?t=588

Interviewer
What of the talk about steroids?

Mariusz Strong Man is a professional sport. It has its 'backstage' and I know it very well. However, it doesn't mean that I will share its juicy details with the press. I was tested for steroids and they weren't able to find anything. If the key to success for all Storng Men were steroids, then the only people to win it would be mutants who spend more time hooked up to the IV than lifting in the gym. I lift tons of scrap (note: slang for iron in Polish). In addition I run, stretch, practice karate, and I sometimes play rugby.

Steroids are just a part of high level athletic competition, especially strength sports. It isn't cheating if everyone does it.

All the guys shown in this thread are steroid users.

It's cheating if it's against the rules. In fact, that's the definition of cheating.

Alot of ppl do steroids. Magazines and sports of all kinds are filled with them. Doesnt mean we cant look up to Olympic athletes, football players or strength/bodybuilders.

It isn't cheating if you don't get caught.
