I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I've been on the program for about 2.5 months and I've just hit BW squats. I measured today and I have whooping 22.5" legs
It's really starting to get a bit too big for my liking though and who knows how big they will be at 1.5xBW
Can I switch to 3x5 or something to lessen the effects?

Yes, if you're worried about your legs getting too big, switch to 3x5. The lower volume will prevent a lot of hypertrophy, but you still want the CNS related strength gains, so continue to add weight.

Deadlifts have no eccentric portion, so they don't really cause a lot of hypertrophy. Make sure you continue to hit them hard, as I'm sure you still want a big back.

22.5' thighs? That's not really big. I'd carry on with the lifting if I were you. Or if you disagree, do what Rugger says.

I still don't see how 22.5 can be considered "getting too big". Mine are just under 23' and they look like this to me:

28' is a good size.

I've always questioned the practicallity, needless to say aesthetics of massive legs. Lower the volume...

Regardless, the OP thinks that 22.5 is massive when it is not.

Agreed, 22.5 is pretty average. Once you get to 25-26 inches though, chaffing, find pants that fit,etc..becomes a problem.

Mine are 22.5" at the widest point I can find on my thighs and they are like a splinter off one of those toothpicks. They are so far from massive it's hard to describe.

I'm 5'9" and 152lb
Age: 17
BF: 11.3% (the machine says this but it must be broken or something because I have quite a belly and some fat on my thighs as well :( )

Squats 160
BP 105
OHP 70
DL 165 (Form was completely off until recently, still not that great)

Maybe I'm not used to having big legs or something but it seems pretty big to me...

Why do you not want big legs? If you're worried about things being out of proportion your body will definitely even itself out.

I'm not even sure myself :P
But I'm also getting quite tired after squats, so I thought a lower volume might help.

Get used to it, as it only gets worse (until you're intermediate and do light days). Part of the reason squats are so hard is because they tire you out so much. Make sure you're resting enough between sets: you should rest enough such that your muscles are recovered for the next set.
