I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

75 cent? Price went up or price was wrong. Try lidl, sometimes they're cheaper. Last time I bought quark was in december, 0.40 some thing.

$0,80/kg, Holy God ! You're lucky. Here in Poland (the quark's - "Twarog" motherland, after all) it is not less than $2,5-3 /kg. Better brands exceed $4.

Make sure you buy low-fat quark. It contains 0% of fat and ~20% of protein.

Quark costs in Germany about 0.5 EUR for 500 grams. It tastes nasty when you eat it pure. I blend it with some garlic, spices and olive oil and this is the best dip for veggies, eggs etc.

Cottage cheese costs 0.5 EUR for 200 grams, tastes better and is my preferred pre-bed meal combined with frozen berries.

Try to go with the higher fat variants. I had the same experience when eating the low fat one, its just disgusting, but after switching to a 20% fat one you can easily eat it pure.

Hm, what's the stuff American's and British people use in their "Cheesecakes"? I always thought that was Quark :/
