I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

5/3/1 Cycle 2
Week 4

09/11/09

Bench Press:
5x72.5kg (I put the wrong weight on the bar (Weight was supposed to be 67.5kg) after talking to someone about women...... doh :? )
3x77.5kg
1x85kg (1)

Kroc Rows: 32.5kg LH 7/6/5 RH 8/7/6
Dips: 2.5kg 10/6/4

10/11/09

Deadlifts:
5x117.5kg
3x132.5kg
1x147.5kg (7)

Front Squat: 3x5x52.5kg 5/5/5
Back Extensions: No time :x

12/11/09

Press:
5x50kg
3x55kg
1x62.5kg (2)

Pull-ups: 2.5kg 8/5/4
Military Press: 3x10x32.5kg 10/10/10

Some guy comes in the gym and starts talking to me about women in general and how lovely they look and how a man cannot live without a woman etc, we talked and then when I done the first set of the bench I slapped myself in the forehead, I put on too much on the bar, I thought it felt kinda heavy but silly old me just went through the motions 8) I must remain focused when strength training.

Deadlift night was exceptional, I thought I left my log book at home which was not good as I would of had no idea on what weight to lift. I had one last check in the car and lo and behold the log book stood out on the car seat, so glad I never left it at home I would of had to have done some kind of percentages if I had left it! :|
Bar went up sweet on all 7 reps of the Deadlift, I really am starting to feel strong and the chalk really helps with grip, It will be interesting to go for 150kg for reps in the next cycle. I had 5 on my mind so the extra two was icing on the cake.

Ahhhhhh how could I fcuking not forget the Press :x Just 2 reps at 62.5kg (138lbs) I wish I had got at least 4 here. The bar just would not budge after the second rep, still it's better than not having done any reps at all. The Military Press was something that just came to me at a lower weight, it was challenging enough to just complete the 3 sets, I quite like this little drill so I'll be doing them on Press day.

Might have to get the technique right as when I was pressing I kept coming up on my toes so will have to analyze movement at the next attempt. I like the fact that my feet are touching I know it's a harder movement and I am of the thinking that this strictness will carry over to the Press and then sometime later I will start Push Pressing, so many decisions and so little time.

Nevertheless we carry on and fight each and every training day to get to the gym, not because we have to but because we must if we wish to get some stress out. Believe... I need to get stress out

Well that's it. Deload week is upon me once again. :)

Peace.

Maybe you're pushing the bar away from you instead of straight up?

Yeah I know I was doing something wrong on the Military Press I kept coming up on my toes. Funny how I don't pay much attention when the weight is light. I'll make sure to push straight to my face as I normally do, I think the Military Press really tests balance I was moving all over the place :) Better get technique down before weight moves on up

Cheers MikeD.

150kgs (330lbs) was the last weight I had done on wendlers...with the 5+ reps in mind it's a bitch. But a loving, cook-you-dinner-afterwards kind of bitch.

Solid Krocs.
Where those left/right or the other way around ?
Why not try to keep things in balance ?

Or was this two times in succession on each arm ?

@ H....I totally wrote it down wrong :( I done two sets on each arm one at 16 reps and one at 24 reps both at 15kg. I need to think things through before I write them down it even confuses me  Cheers for the question H
@Sid, no problem mate. I like the program as it suits my busy schedule at the moment. I do enjoy it, especially on the last set it mentally psyches me up.

Funny about the music making it a relaxing session. But that's what deload week is for. This is the end of it right?
