I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

 There was a temptation to load the bar with more weight but deloads as we all know are there for a reason :)

The squat, press, deadlift, and bench press have been used for decades by the strongest athletes on the planet. There is good reason for that. Any program that doesn’t use them is inferior to one that does.

rere man you are just too good with words. Your description of the new gym almsot brought tears to my eyes...how wonderful it is to have such a gym man! You make it sound truly unbelievable. You've got a flair for language that much i can tell!

GHR...aah...i beleive there is no direct exercise to specifically target the hamstrings the way this does. First time i did it i got a really painful cramp by 3rd rep only! Of course i was doing natural GHR's....give them a try sometime....and i did it to give my sagging deadlift a kind of...errm...nitrous boost...

Oh and yea i concur with guru...your hammies will feel rock hard if they don't already...or if they are like rock hard already...mastering ghrs will give you hammies of steel  And you will bazooka your deadlift...huh that didn't come out right..but  you get the idea...

Yay mate this is just too awesome 8)

Oh i missed your press totally! This is the 1st time since feb you are back at a 60kg press isnt it? Congrats man ! :D

Thanks mate.
I got the 60kg press in March as well then I think i got it again sometime in july? not really sure about that one. It does feel so long ago

The gym is beautiful, what can i say. It has everything except women
The power rack is almost always free and it's a good second gym. They allow chalk usage as well as long as I clean it up after wards and they also allow power cleans as they have a selection of bumper plates. It really is a dream to train there.

Thanks for stopping by, i hope things are well with you :)

Peace.

5/3/1 cycle 2
Week 1

27/9/09

Squats
5x77.5kg
5x90kg
5x102.5kg (3)

Squats: 60kg 3x10
Back extensions: 3x10@BW

28/09/09

Bench Press
5x57.5kg
5x67.5kg
5x77.5kg (9)

Kroc Rows: 1x10@30kg 1x7@30kg 1x6@30kg
Dips: (BW) 8/5/5/5/4/3 = 30 reps

1/10/09

Deadlifts
5x100kg
5x117.5kg
5x132.5kg (10) PR :D

Press
5x42.5kg
5x50kg
5x55kg (6)

Front Squats: 3x5@50kg
Pull ups (BW) 7/6/5/3/3/2 = 26 reps

Missed the 5 reps on the squat. That was a morning workout so I'll blame that on a alcoholic Saturday night. I Was gunning for 10 reps on the bench, solely me alone in the power rack with no spotter. Tonight (1/10/09) pulled 10 reps on the Deadlift, the chalk came in handy as I done the whole ten reps with a pronated grip I felt the left hand slipping but I hung on with all my might. The Press...well I was gunning for 10 on this I was kidding myself :x

Chalk 8)

All in all a solid week. :)
I'll be back in the gym around the 19th October, off on holiday for two weeks, be good people.
I'll repeat this week when I get back. I expect it to be tough

Peace and Love

Rere
