I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

6'0"
187 Lbs
BF not yet determined. I have a caliper, just need to use it. Call it a goal.

So this is my first training log page and the numbers may seem a little bit off. The problem is, I’ve been lifting on and off for about 15 years, of those 15 years, I’ve done lower body work for about 9 months. For a long while I could bench more than I could squat; and I can’t bench a lot!

7.5 hours of sleep last night...
5 Minute elliptical
Squat stretch ala SS.
Squat
45 Lbs X 9
116 x 5
144 x 5
173 x 5
173 x 5

Seated Overhead press
79 x 5 (2 inch bar)
95 x 5 (2 inch bar)
110 x 5 (2 inch bar)
126 x 4

Dead lift
194 x 5
233 x 5
271 x 5
310 x 5

Every lift except my final squat on bigger days is raw, then I use a belt.

I started watching the movie “Into the Wild” during rest and plate changes.
I welcome any constructive advice.

Goals: TBD no later than 1/16/09

Thanks,
rift

Rift
Welcome to SL

Any reason why you're not doing the 5x5 routine?
Why Seated Press and not standing?
No real need for the belt - a strong core and a deep breath will be just as good.
(I take it you're not on gloves and straps for Deads I hope)

Watching a movie while working out would just wreck my concentration and focus - but I guess it takes all types.

Good lifting

Thanks!
I started on the madcow 5x5 a few months before I found this site and have been determined to stick with one work out for a long time as in the past I bounce to whatever sounds intriguing, never making any real gains. I recommend stronglifts 5x5 to other beginners though as I thinks it's a good program.
I workout in my basement and have 7 foot ceilings (my power rack barely fits).
No Gloves or straps. I do need to pick up some liquid chalk though.
movies prevent putting off workouts out of fear off them being tedious (I play video games when I cardio).
