I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Hello everyone, hello Medhi.
I keep reading, on your last very useful email as well, about your strong message that lifting is a perfect cardio workout.
Ok, I understand it, and it make sense. But I'm a well informed visitors with medical studies, and I can read your words and still have an opinion.
What it is too strong, in my humble opinion, is the message to the average visitor of the website, who are not that much educated in the medical/fitness area. You message to them: ...." just lift weight and you'll be fine....." can be misunderstood.
And this are my considerations, that keeps me doing my beloved 5x5 with my regular cardio:

1) We have legs, they are supposed to lift weights yes, but also they are supposed to run, jump, etc
2) We have mountains, green hills, nice flowers......I do really enjoy my view when running in between of them
3) We have lungs, which are supposed to breathe fresh air, outdoor and not to smell armpits ;) at the gym
4) I've started your amazing program, with very good results. But since I've stopped running as much as I used to do, following your directions I've got some fat.
5) The video that shows the 20 reps squat, http://stronglifts.com/for-the-last-time-strength-training-improves-cardiovascular-fitness/
, it is not something that appeals me. Reason? The strength of that guy is amazing, but that guy apparently has a belly, and a big one !!! I don't like to be strong and fat.

Thanks
Max

You don't have to do your lifting indoors. Many people are lucky enough to lift weights in the fresh air (Prisoners not included). Think Muscle Beach, Calif.

There is nothing wrong with working out, then running with your kids through a meadow.

Read peoples logs. There are many runners on this list.
