I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Wednesday:
Weight: 192lbs
. Weird because I ate a lot more over the last 3 days including 3/4 gal milk instead of my usual 1/2. Guess my metabolism is increasing.

Squats:
1x10 (55lbs)
1x5 (85lbs)
1x3 (125lbs)
5x5 (145lbs) PR!!!
Worked hard on keeping form in check. I was able to drop more quickly into the hole this time and it felt better going up. Had a few near stalls but nothing that held me back. Woop!

OHP:
1x10 (35lbs)
5,5,5,3,0 (80lbs)
After the first set I really thought I wouldn't be putting it up another 5 and yet I did twice. All down hill from there though. At least this is an improvement from last time.

Deadlifts:
1x5 (155lbs) PR!!

Holy hell is that getting heavy. Perhaps it was the soreness from squats but this was a whole different animal than 145lbs. Think I may go up by 5's after this.

I think I'll be taking next week off, so Saturday will be my last day before the break. I think it will be nice to have time off and heal whatever is going on with my lower back and get my shoulder rehab started.

Congrats on the PRs! Enjoy your rest time but I'd keep up with stretching and mobility work if you can.

Geez, you almost got me on the ohp! I'm finally over my cold, so back to the gym tonite. Good thing you're taking a week off, give me a chance to stay ahead! lol

Thanks! Feels great to be putting that much weight up. I've been doing some stretching and glute activation before the workouts but I've been meaning to do it every day. I saw you had an epiphany regarding engaging glutes and during the last two squat sessions, I've felt more in my glutes than ever before. Not sure if that's glute activation working finally, or the weight is getting heavy enough to engage the glutes, or my form is better...so many variables :)

rofl...yeah, I wanted to nail it so bad. My friends know about our competition on here as well so they are all telling me "You're not going to let that Cory guy beat ya are ya?" lol.
Don't pass me up too much, eh? :D

No worries. I like to throw around words like "Cheers!" and "Bloody Hell" so that tends to cause confusion. :D

Great progress! Maybe your weight is staying the same because you're putting on muscle and losing fat!

Thanks Shox! It's strange since I have been eating more and still staying at the same weight. On my week off, I think I'm going to cut the carbs out, eat a ton of protein, and see where I'm at. Would be nice to lose some of the fat around my midsection. :)

Just got back from the ortho and he said I have a rotator cuff injury as well as bicep tendonitis. He thinks I'll be able to have it all taken care of with rehab in 4-6 weeks. He wants an MRI but only if the rehab doesn't work after 8 weeks. So, all in all a good outlook and it will be nice to have this taken care of.

Thanks Shox! Good to know there is something that can be done and in a relatively short period of time. Starting my week off now actually, so don't worry guys, I'm not leaving, just going on a short hiatus. :)
