I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I tried the Pavel PTTP routine today( 2x5 DL 5 days a week) with 70 and 63 kg as a replacement for squats. I really need to get something to cover my floor tiles, because I can feel that when I just let it fall (controlled) from lockout, I don't get tension in the lower back, but when I try to slow it down (to save those very old tiles), there is tension.
OHP35kg. Last set was on the limit.
BP65kg
pullups 4x5

Tried Janda situps, but I'm not able to do them (it's as easy as a normal situp, so I'm not doing it like it should be)

SQ 70kg 1x3 and 50kg 1x3
DL 50kg, 1x4 (trying to learn technique, but at 4th rep had pain in lower back area, so stopped.) My form is thus inadequate for both DL & Squat. Don't really know what to improve. A bit frustrating.
OHP 36kg 3x5 I & 1x47kg. I had promised myself that today I would try my 1RM so didn't do last two sets. Was surprised and happy :D
Floor press: 67kg 5x5
inv row: 3x8
pullups, 1x9. I am dissapointed, last month I also did 9, so no improvement in a whole month. I do 4x5 every other day. Perhaps I should do them everyday, in a GTG fashion. My aim is our army requirement of 20 consecutive ones (not that I want to join, but I like this benchmark).
3x16 pushups. I find that when I do them fast (not explosively, just fast) I can do about 17-18 per rep without fatigue. If I do them slow (1.5s up), I can only manage 11-12

It's now two weeks that I have a sore spot in the middle right (thorax) area of my back. It feels like a sore muscle or so, about 2cm to the right of the spine. It doesn't hurt (about 2/10 on the pain scale), but something that stays for two weeks and doesn't go away is never good. I hope that other muscles are not overcompensating and that I'll have a crooked skeletal alignment. Don't know what to do about it, will wait it out. If it doesn't better after a month, I'll have to see a doctor.)

Get someone to give it a massage might help. Maybe take it easy on the pullups for a few days see if it helps? I am not really sure which exercises on this program use the middle back the most, but I would be suprised if the deadlift is hurting you at such a low weight.

As an aside, my training partner sometimes gets discomfort on one side of his mid back from bench press, so you might pay attention while floor pressing and see if you feel it then.

Sq 2x5 72kg, 3x5 62kg Was pushing with the knees some reps, so I will try to work my way up again from 62kg, so as not to break my knees.
OHP 36kg 3x5
Side press 2x4 17kg Was hard. Couldn't do rep 5, not even with 10kg.
chinups: 6-6-5-5
pushups 3x16
inv row: 3x6

I actually don't write everything down. Every workout I start warming up by doing at least 20 KB swings, and I try to do that as well for the cooldown. I also do some gripwork with grippers.

Not a lot of time to train, hectical exams situation.
OHP 36kg 5x5
DL 36kg 3x5
Beginning with very low weight on the DL, I want to master it before breaking my back. Also I'm going to do DL's instead of Squats because my knees still hurt since 8 days ago, I don't trust my squatting technique anymore (eventhough I'm pretty sure that my knees are pushed out almost during the entire movement).
If I can find the time, I'll try to do the Pavel PTTP thing of doing DL's 5 times a week as substitute for squating

OHP 37kg 5-5-4-2-2 Dramatic difference from 36kg. Perhaps it's because I hadn't eaten or drunk in the morning.
DL 37kg 3x5

soreness in middle back has returned. Quite annoying.

Lower back feels like workout soreness, I'm confident that's not giving problems. I'm feeling a very faint tightness still in my right upper back, I think it is improving.

mind you: the DL is still 38kg, the thing above is a typo. I'm not DL for the next 3 days, and on monday I'll continue with PTTP, 2x5 and trying to add 2kg per workout.
