I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I have read the FAQ but still have a question about running/Cardio.
I am about to start StrongLifts 5x5 Beginner this Monday.
Switching from another program I have been doing for a couple of months.
Doing StrongLifts 5x5 with 50% weight of the 1RM I have accomplished so far.

I like to run outside 1st thing in the morning.
Will it deter my progress if I run 1st thing in the morning then do the Lifting 1-2 hours after Breakfast?

My typical day usually goes like this.
    ~7-8am = Wakeup
~7:30-8:30 = Cardio run outside (Always on empty stomach so I don't get cramps or feel nauseous while running.)
    ~8:30-9:30 = Breakfast
    ~10:30-11 = Lift

Going to start at 3x30mins and work myself to 4x50mins as per advised for cutting.
I actually kinda enjoy running so debating on running 5days a week .

My Lifting days will be Monday, Wedneday and Friday.
Plan to run outside from Monday to Friday and Rest fully on weekends.

I used to do HIIT Cardio for 20mins during my 2 Off Days (Tuesday & Thursday), and read that I should not do that with this program :(
I really did enjoy the HIIT Cardio during my 2 Off Days and the light jog a in the morning and wondering if by doing the StrongLift 5x5 I really have to change what I have been used to doing?

Options:
* Running directly after each session. But this will be hard as the squat weight increases.
* Running on off days, so you have sl on mo/we/fr, and running on tu/sa. Gives you th & su completely off. You don't need more running than that.

Thanks.

But is that Tu/Sat or Tu/Sun?
or it doesn't matter as long as I have 2 days of absolutely no High Intensity activities for rest?
