I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I was ridiculously sore yesterday, but still worked out.

Squat - 5x5 @ 135
Overhead press - 5x5 @ 115
Deadlift - 1x5 @ 135
Pullups/Chinups - 1x3, 2x2 (gotta get back in shape for these)

I'm feeling okay today, but I won't be able to workout again until Monday. Traveling for work and it's my bday. The schedule starts fresh next Monday as well as the diet.

I'm excited for my workout tonight. My body is feeling good after a long weekend, and I've also started tracking my diet. I'm hoping I can be 10lbs in the next 2 weeks (easily doable if I stick to my routine and diet). That's when the girl is coming into town :)

I'll be back post-workout with stats and impressions.

I ended up doing my workout tonight instead of last night. Tough to do it on a travel day.

Squat - 5x5 @ 145
Bench - 5x5 @ 140
Rows - 5x5 @ 135
Dips - 3x5
Pullups - 3x2

Felt good. Not sore (yet). I also went grocery shopping and bought enough protein for 10 men :)

Felt good again last night. I need to work on my flexibility on my off days, as I can tell my squat form is not perfect yet.

Squat - 5x5 @ 155
Overhead Press - 5x5 @ 115
Deadlift - 2x5 @ 185
Pullups - 2x5
Chinups - 2x5

And time to start again. I've let things slip due to laziness, and I'm not at 258 lbs. My new goal is to hit 220 lbs by my sister's wedding (May 17th), which I think is doable. To reach this goal, I'm going to start running again and get back on the 5x5. I've started going back to the gym and am getting my body ready to start the 5x5 on Feb. 1st. From that point, I'm going to have 15 weeks to reach my goal of 220 lbs.

I lost 50 lbs in 12 weeks 2 years ago, so I definitely think I can do 40 lbs in 15 weeks. It's going to take discipline and determination, but I've got some good motivation and smaller goals along the way.
