I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

No way I'd try it with my cutthroat. Even if I were minded to shave there, which I'm not :)

my body is kinda strange, when I pluck my hair from any part of my body, the pain ranges from nothing - barely anything. I could technically wax my balls with minimal pain. I might do it one day just for laughs. I plucked hair from them once, it didn't really hurt that much.
Stats:
Olympic Squats - 3 x 5 - 200 lbs
DeadLift - 1 x 5 - 215 lbs
Bench - 3 x 5 - 135 lbs
Rows - 3 x 5 - 125 lbs
Press - 3 x 5 - 95 lbs

unless you're a competitve swimmer, I don't think it's necessary for guys to shave their body hair....the groin area maybe you can do a little trim for courtesy to the ladies, but imo, it's just a waste of time.

Edit: That's right, i said it, all of you with a hairy arse probably smell. Of poo.

I can totally understand your point there. Like getting peanut butter out of a shag carpet.

But luckily most of the world actually use water to clean up after a poo. People have bidet's, a spray hose or jug in most cultures. It only really in a few western countries where people rely solely on paper, I dont understand how you lot cope.

I haven't had the balls to go beyond a trim - pun intended. The perceived risk outweighs the perceived benefits I think.

It's reasonable to trim under the arms. I think it looks unsightly to have a "beard" visible, even when your arms are at your side.

But there's a more practical reason for trimming - odor control. For deodorants and antiperspirants to work, they need to be in contact with the skin. Applying them to the hair makes them less effective. Also, having less hair will make it more likely you'll cleanse the skin when you need to shower quickly.

Get a body hair groomer. They’re inexpensive and let you set the length of trim.

Notice how not a single woman chimed in. They all shave, and are thinking: "wow, men really are wussies..."

I have only been shaved once, for abdominal surgery, at a New Jersey hospital, by a large Jamaican man who only said “nipples to knees mon”.

My pit hair gets out of control, so every once in awhile, I'll actually shave it.

I shave groin area most of the time.

Yeah, I shaved with a regular Gilette "Prestobarba" razer (the one with 3-4 blades). Always when you are showering, with hot water preferably. & take your time, or else you'll suffer some cuts. Careful not to clog the water escape as well, with your pubes.
