I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Here is one more you might find useful:
Captain Upper Body:You're doing your squats all wrong, if you go past parallel, you will get cancer (or whatever stupid excuse you receive
Me: If I do them any other way, my coach will cut my balls off
C.U.P.: Who is your coach?
Me: Bill Starr, you should look him up, he's really famous

You can also Mark Rippetoe's name, Glenn Pendlay's name, or Mehdi's name, they all work.

 I'll use this next time.
Rere's training log II
The squat, press, deadlift, and bench press have been used for decades by the strongest athletes on the planet. There is good reason for that. Any program that doesn’t use them is inferior to one that does.

Oh, Cap'n Upper Body. When I went to visit my mom at the end of last summer, she asked if I was sure I wasn't eating too much. This was after my first ~10 weeks on the program, during which I gained a little under 10 pounds, but it went to all the right places, AND you never have to worry about Cap'n Upper Body's gorilla look from a workout plan that includes 5 exercises: 4 varieties of bench press and bicep curls. I went straight from not being able to figure out how to support more than 100 pounds on my back without hurting it to a BW squat(170) all in one go....if that's not enough, I fixed a shoulder injury that had me not even able to hold my arm straight over my head for six months to stalling on the press last week at around 100 lbs. Mehdi's 5x5 concept is insanely awesome if you want to make some serious progress. Just chuckle politely at the people who want to pull you back down to the bottom of the barrel with them and get on with it.

Me: I just choose to focus on barbell training.
C U B: Are you training for a show or something?
Me: No, I just want to be stronger and more fit...
C U B: No offense, but are you taking steroids? You seem a little bigger each day and some of the guys are talking...
Me: (at this point, I was ready to start my last set of RDLs, and not really paying much mind to this convo until he dropped the "steroid bomb".) ::laughing it off:: Naw man, I have just been very strict on myself with my diet....I try to get a lot of sleep....and I have really been focusing on barbell training the past few months.
C U B: Oh, okay...well, see ya around.

NO At this point you should have said "I'm doing this STRONGLIFTS 5X5 Program, It's really good, You should give it a shot. And pointed him to here

I don't care what other people think. I have been accused many times of steroids, while in fact I'm the only one of my friend (8 people) who didn't use it. They just cant believe that I achieved 110kg bench press naturally while they had to take 3 steroid cycles for the same thing. I just take things as a compliment!

In my gym taking steroids has become so normal people shake their heads with disbelieve when I tell I'm still a natural and say 'I'm wasting my time', and ask 'why wait years to get bigger'.

Its not about health issues I'm not taking steroids. I just want to show it's not a requirement if you train hard and consequent. And in the end I'll be bigger anyways because all those guys lose most of their winnings after a cycle due to bad eating habbits, end up with hormonal imbalances (one of my friend had gynecomastia). Add to that too that they are too much a pussy to even train their legs...

Its a compliment. I get asked if im on it even though im not even that big/muscly. So imagine once you been training for quite a while. Not to mention the fact that so many ppl dont make progress by using machines or not doing compound exercises.
Stats:
Bench: 82kg
Squat: 107kg
Deadlift: 110kg
OHP: 50kg
Dips: 32kg
Pull-ups: 22kg
