I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Hey, been doing 5x5 for around 4 months now. Ive been up too 120 kg 5x5 in squat, but my knees started to hurt when squating so i went down 30%. But today i found out that ive been squating with wrong technique and have too tight hamstrings etc. Should i lower my weight even more and start over with correct technique, or should i stay at the weight i am on now and just improve my technique and etc?

Drop to a weight you can manage easily so as to acquire good form. It's tough on the ego, but if needed, deload.

What were you doing wrong in the first place? It's hard to tell how much it's neccessary to drop the weight when we don't even know what your technique looks like.

But you will not be able to fix anything unless you drop the weight a little. See for yourself how much you feel you can handle. But it would be best if you could film yourself, you'd get much better feedback!

And by looking at your signature, it seems like you're doing 5x5 DL(and no press). Are you really doing Stronglifts 5x5?

Hmm, with press you mean the overhead press? The thing i was doing wrong in the first place was that i was going down wrong, and rounded my lower back.
