I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

well my short term goals are an 80kg squat, 34 inch waist, 60kg bench (by short term i mean next 2 month).
Your progress is looking good, keep adding weight to that squat bar and you should hit your 270 in no time :) I personally find squat the easiest lift to progress on, although one of the toughest lifts to execute! (One of the few lifts that actually makes me sweat like a pig lol)

nice :D

man i woke up today and my lower back feels funny. i think i might need to drop the squat weight by 20 lbs, fine tune my form before i move on to intermediate(im really starting to peak like i can only increase every 3 workouts)

what do you think shox?

Take care of your back - maybe if you're still tweaking form you shouldn't be looking to switch to intermediate in a hurry.

Worry about that when the time is right and you are happy with your form.

yeh, great thing about the body is you can often tell if any pain you get is 'good' pain (i.e doms/feeling of muscle building), or 'bad' pain (i.e form needs fixing). My form is pretty good i think, although i think i curve my back out a bit (As in i try so hard to keep my back straight and puff my chest out that it actually curves out rather than under the weight).

i agree with that man

you mean like your back pops out?

yeah my back still has a bit of a curve at the bottom which i think is pretty much unsolvable without a lot of experience squatting, which i dont have

my problem is that sinced the weights are heavy and by the 3rd set in 4th and 5th rep coming back up from the down position results in me doing soemthing like a good morning. like my knees dont roll foward or anything just that i end up doing soemthing like a good morning so lowering weights is my best bet.

Try pushing up from your heels when this happens (curl your toes up and push off your heels)
