I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Well i posted this on another forum and got called a bicep boy for some reason, I've never done a bicep isolation exercise in my life. Here is my 5x5 training after 6 months, sorry no before pictures.

Squats 110kg
deadlift 120kg
overhead press 40kg still struggling with these.
bench 62.5 still struggling with this.

chin ups 1x10 1x8 1x6
push ups 1x30 1x20 1x10
rows 1x10 1x7 1x6
crunches 1x20 1x15 1x8

So what's your thoughts as I'm thinking sod it time to give up, I still feel fat although I'm eating right, I had to stop running all together because of shin splints. I've tried skipping but can't skip.
Why can i not get rid of my fat belly lol. Feeling really crap at the mo so don't be to harsh lol.

Thanks

Come one Jim, you haven't even got a belly. I know loads of guys would be chuffed to bits with a body like that. If I didn't know you better, I'd say you were fishing for compliments...

I think Mehdi is writing some new blog material that will include ways to tackle the little bit of belly you have left. Try checking those out when available.

Interesting pics, especially from a fat guy ;)

What is curious is that except for chins, all my numbers are higher but I do not have such biceps at all.
Guess everybody's body does react differently to the program ;)

Keep on lifting, mate. You'll be squatting 2xBW sure thing :D
I prefer to be called 'H' ;)

Don't quit - your belly won't! I've got a bigger gut than you mate, and I'm still plugging away. Whether this is the quickest way to lose fat or not is irrelevant - if we keep trying it will happen eventually. All the best!!!
2010 Goals:
Lose the Gut - 6 pack by 11/4/10 - it's a bet with the missus
100kgs clean and jerk by 24/3/10
80kgs snatch by 30/06/10
Be more dedicated

Im on my 6th month too, but my squat has been stuck at BW for a while now :(

Maybe ill make a thread like this.

Anyhow, in regards to shin splints I may be able to help as I fixed mine. It is often caused by tightness in lower leg muscles and overdeveloped calves. To fix it make sure to do thorough static stretching post workout. Also make sure you NEVER do isolation calve exercises.
