I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Stronglifts advanced

Hello all, i'm new to the forum but not new to stronglifts. I've been doing strong lifts now for about a year. I just move on into the advanced training. I keep getting stronger but my calves no longer seem to be growing. Is this normal, have they reached thier limit. I'm a little concerned because my legs are 23" and my calves are around 14 and 3/4. What can i do?

Personal records

Starting

weight 165 @29%BF
squat 115lbs
oh press the bar
bench 135
dl 115
power clean the bar

Ending (as of this post)

weight 195 @22% BF
squat 305 5x5
oh press 146lbs 5x5
bench 240 5x5
dl 240 1x5 225 5x5
power clean 135

Can someone tell me if they think i am on the right track?

Nice progress, both in the bodyweight as well as the lifts.

As for the calves, I have almost the same story. My thighs are nearly 22", but calves are a spindly 13". As for me, I'm not much concerned, but if you are, there are a couple of threads in the "Build Muscle" section.

Are your goals strength or bulk? I'm assuming the former, in which case you should only worry about the size of your calves if you are stalling. If you aren't stalling, no reason to worry.

Thanks guys. I never thought of it like that before. Strength is what i'm after but.....i am getting older lol and would not mind looking better too!!! Actually my physique is much better now. i would rate myself a 5 or 6 now out of a 10. I will work on the midsection after i bulk up some more. Has anyone else have any results with their physiques? Or are you all just getting stronger???

Hmm. I noticed this morning that I have developed "squatter's thigh", where the outer side of the quads ends in a distinct corner above the knee. I'm not sure if I see that as a result, so much as a side-effect.
