I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I'm sure Mehdi has a list of article ideas as long as an olympic barbell, but I thought there'd be no harm in suggesting/requesting a few topics. These are some ideas that I'd like to see, for myself or to deal with common topics in the forums.

  • Refinements to the sl5x5 for people who can't back squat. You've mentioned we shouldn't front squat only, so what's a good way to structure a back-squat-less routine?
  • A post on "first aid" for gym injuries would be useful
  • It seems there are a bunch of people doing the anabolic diet, who don't really seem to need it or understand it. There are a bunch of historical posts on it, but maybe a fresh post on what it is, who it's for and its limitations etc
  • A lot of people want to do stronglifts more as a supplement to their sports training. How can they fit it in and get the best results for both lifting and sports?
  • It sounds like some of the guys paying for training are going great guns, especially what I've heard from bluestreak. It would be great to get a progress report, and I'm sure it would help sell more training subscriptions.
  • A lot of people view the off days as wasted if they're not in the gym. What sort of physical and mental activities can we do that won't undermine our training?

Thanks for this mjh. A lot of this is already on to-do list, but list is so long, and other stuff get mixed in, and you have only 5 days/week to write articles, etc

Refinements to the sl5x5 for people who can't back squat. You've mentioned we shouldn't front squat only, so what's a good way to structure a back-squat-less routine?

Post on this already planned. I make people alternate front with box squat when squat technique is a problem.

A post on "first aid" for gym injuries would be useful

There's a stick in the injury section, will add this to to-do list.

It seems there are a bunch of people doing the anabolic diet, who don't really seem to need it or understand it. There are a bunch of historical posts on it, but maybe a fresh post on what it is, who it's for and its limitations etc

It's a problem indeed, I'm not even on the A.D. anymore, so that alone needs an update cause you always have people who want to imitate. Have already planned to rewrite/delete old articles and make one big one, just need to prioritize it.

A lot of people want to do stronglifts more as a supplement to their sports training. How can they fit it in and get the best results for both lifting and sports?

there's something about it in the FAQ I think? lower to 2x/week for example; will add this todo list.

It sounds like some of the guys paying for training are going great guns, especially what I've heard from bluestreak. It would be great to get a progress report, and I'm sure it would help sell more training subscriptions.

Planned this too, but 1) must have approval from the people who subscribed 2) progress is still going on for most members.

A lot of people view the off days as wasted if they're not in the gym. What sort of physical and mental activities can we do that won't undermine our training?

Mobility work, soft tissue work, cardio, etc.

Most of the questions are related to STrongLifts 5x5, which still needs to be rewritten completely (includeling the faq) to answer all this, I've been collecting all questions I got during last months+things I learned (what worked and didn't work), to make a big update, again: jsut need to prioritize it, always other posts that get in the way.

I've stickied this post so more people can add ideas.

good on you mehdi. This wasn't a "I really want to see something on...." list, just thought these would make a good post. The topics are covered in forums, FAQs etc, but may deserve the full stronglifts treatment.

I've got a suggestion for an article: Resting between sets. How much time is required, why it's important to rest, how you will need more time as weights go up, etc.

Seen people asking about it several times in the forum, plus there's my mentions...
