I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Australia here! If you're using a weight:lift coefficient I'll have to lose some of my increasing fat mass... I should be more like 60kg!

Question.. if this is all 1RM, wouldn't we all just post our 1RMs on the closing date? For most of us, they're only going to keep going up between now and then.
My Training Log | My AD Log

Current 1RMs achieved at >=60kg on Texas Method:
Squat: 152.5kg / 150kg
DL: 150kg / 160kg
OHP: 65kg /70kg
Bench: 87.5kg / 90kg

Any. obviously the 1rm would be best, but if you've not done one your 5x5 or whatever will do. The rules will pretty much be the same as the strongest man/woman threads:

  • need to be an active member with a log
  • all lifts belt only. No suits, straps etc
  • The weight you have lifted for 1 rep max. No prediction based numbers.
  • 5RM or 5x5 is allowed, just keep in mind your 1RM will be higher.

Yeah, no problem with that, but some might like to see how the competition is shaping up as time goes on.

Yeah Dave, let's team up for Asia. I'm in for the team. I'll also post a link in the thread for Indians. Hopefully to get more members.

Another thought, should we have a ladies' team too? I don't know how to split them up geographically though.

Mouse, I think you'll also propose that all the commonwealth nations should be part of UK.

I don't know if there enough women on the forum to make up teams, unfortunately. I'd rather see them join the teams here, to be honest. it's all in good fun, after all.

If we're short on CNDs, I can join that team. I'm originally from there but live here

As a NZ team, would we need to come up with a name? All Blacks are rugby, All Whites are soccer, Tall Blacks are basketball, Silver Ferns are netball so lifting would be......

shouldn't be, I can think of at least three more. That's if they want to, I guess.
