I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Everyone does their own updating then? If so, would I do it just as you explained? Look at the post above my original by Littlesimongeorge. Did he just update his own stats?

Yes, you do your own updating to save us time :)

And no, Littlesimongeorge did not update the front post.
You can see on the bottom of the post it has been edited by guru, another moderator.
(at least, I hope you can see that part ...)

Anyhow, there are a couple of moderators picking up the updates here and making sure the front-post is updated regularly.

Quick question,

I have a previous PR of 363 (165kg) on the bench, but that was about 5 years agao. I haven't included it, as I've only been putting numbers down from when I started SL5x5.

Should I include my old PR? I figured I shouldn't as I can't back it up in the form of a training log.

Hmm ... there is not really something set in stone in the rules but logically thinking your 1RM would have to be fairly recent.
That's my view, anyhow.

I agree,

I have no doubt I'll reach that number again.

Cheers

Looks like my self-updating didn't go as planned looking at my last post.

Where did I go wrong?

Something wrong with the placement of the quotes (one closing [ / quote] too much).

I think it would be interesting to find out who is the strongest for the BW. This could make the competition more exciting IMO. I would suggest to calculate the Wilks scores like in the Olympics contest.

Yeah, I tend to agree. That would match my understanding of most PL competitions anyway: track and rank absolute total as well as a wilks (or some such method) total. There are several easy online calculators so that a person can add this to the entry easily. Plus it would be nice to see more people enter. I just noticed some really impressive logs today (hello, adamr, you readin' this??).

Olympic weightlifting uses the Sinclair coefficient as far as I know, even though wilks coefficient also works.

But I agree on using Wilks to find out the strongest for the BW, then everyone have a chance on competing regardless how much they weight.
Im rather sure that there's not many who wants to pack on 100+kg BW to compete being the strongest here, some want to stay at an ideal bodyweight and that will prevent the person from ever being the "strongest" in this competition.

I know this thread is about being the strongest, lifting most total. So either make it strongest for the BW or make an additional thread for the strongest for the BW using wilks.
My opinion.
