    I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. :lol: But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Success in 5x5

Since starting in May I have finally accomplished 1.5x BW for a 5x5 set in Squat.

My numbers are as follows
Squat 300lbs
Bench 205lbs
OHP 155lbs
Deadlift 360lbs - My gym does not allow DL so I have to use a machine that allows for similar movements, I also do "Rack lifts" in the squat rack

Starting BW = 209lbs
Current BW = 196lbs

Starting BF% = 22%
Current BF% = <18%

I have some ideas about what type of program I would like to try next, (if there is any suggestions they are always appreciated). I am thinking about going to a 4x8 @ 70%, 80%, and 90% over the next three to four weeks on the major lifts to shock my system and get my body ready for a new regime.

My next goal is 250lbs on the Bench press ( just for show), and 250lbs on Front squats ( never really did these much and want to improve).

Thanks guys, and always looking forward to more;

That's brilliant! Amazing work. I'm particularly impressed with your squat numbers and fat loss - what did you do to achieve this?

Before anyone lambasts you for it - what do you seek to achieve out of your new regime? Is it just front squat and bench increases or body shape change? Also, are you still gaining on sl5x5? It may make sense to keep at it as you're obviously doing really well!!!

Keep it up!

Thanks :)

I want to continue to increase in strength and change the shape of my body. I have been eating really clean ( slacked a bit this week) and doing HIIT for 15 minutes after lifting, and some steady state cardio on rest days- though slacked off on this when I started to feel worn out. What I am asking about a transitional routine is something that will shock my muscles and hopefully see some growth. Honestly I am somewhat confused what to do next, I came from the 3x10 is the only set list mentality that I learned in High School twelve years ago- so I am hoping for some more experienced guidance on a good next step.

As always, Thanks;
