I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Symptoms after eating fast food

Postby Tmv on Fri Oct 02, 2009 11:46 pm

Lately after eating fastfood ( burgerking) I've been getting heat flashes in my face and a headache. I've been avoiding fastfood alot lately but I had nothing prepared for lunch the past cpl days ANd this happens right after eating bk. I read this is an early sign of diabetes is this true?

Easy answer is: stop eating fast food  It would be worth seeing a doctor and getting your blood work done, diabetes can be serious.

There are several symptoms for diabetes, not that I have a doctor grade or anything. Are You generally overweight? Does anyone else in your family have diabetes?

I would recommend consulting a doctor, cause like bkklift says, diabetes is a serious "illness".

This doesn't have to be diabetes; it could be an intolerance/allergy that you have developed. Have you changed your diet significantly?

I made a big change to my diet in Spring '08; I switched to the G.I. diet, cut way back on bread, pasta, potatoes etc. and ramped up the proportion of vegetables and fruit. After a few months of that, I found I didn't tolerate for junk food and very rich food well.
