I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

ESFJ. Like Pharrell Williams said: I'm a provider!
Kind of scary to see how accurately the description fits me.. A little reassuring to see that my future study (physical therapy) is right up my alley looking at the list of recommended jobs. Thanks Mehdi, interesting stuff.

Wow, I'm an ENTJ. I am surprised, as I thought I would've been a bit introverted. It makes sense I guess, because I run my own business and have to travel frequently and deal with all sorts of people, and have to make decisions when nobody else wants to stick their neck out. The label of "Field Marshal" is almost too much though, and it's getting to my head

INTJ, no surprise. Was kind of like reading an astrology sign where it tells you what you want to hear. It is a good description of me however.

Same thing here. Since it hasn't been posted yet, here's the description....not too far off.

Profile: ENTP
Revision: 3.0
Date of Revision: 26 Feb 2005

"Clever" is the word that perhaps describes ENTPs best. The professor who juggles half a dozen ideas for research papers and grant proposals in his mind while giving a highly entertaining lecture on an abstruse subject is a classic example of the type. So is the stand-up comedian whose lampoons are not only funny, but incisively accurate.

ENTPs are usually verbally as well as cerebrally quick, and generally love to argue--both for its own sake, and to show off their often-impressive skills. They tend to have a perverse sense of humor as well, and enjoy playing devil's advocate. They sometimes confuse, even inadvertently hurt, those who don't understand or accept the concept of argument as a sport.

ENTPs are as innovative and ingenious at problem-solving as they are at verbal gymnastics; on occasion, however, they manage to outsmart themselves. This can take the form of getting found out at "sharp practice"--ENTPs have been known to cut corners without regard to the rules if it's expedient -- or simply in the collapse of an over-ambitious juggling act. Both at work and at home, ENTPs are very fond of "toys"--physical or intellectual, the more sophisticated the better. They tend to tire of these quickly, however, and move on to new ones.

ENTPs are basically optimists, but in spite of this (perhaps because of it?), they tend to become extremely petulant about small setbacks and inconveniences. (Major setbacks they tend to regard as challenges, and tackle with determin- ation.) ENTPs have little patience with those they consider wrongheaded or unintelligent, and show little restraint in demonstrating this. However, they do tend to be extremely genial, if not charming, when not being harassed by life in general.

In terms of their relationships with others, ENTPs are capable of bonding very closely and, initially, suddenly, with their loved ones. Some appear to be deceptively offhand with their nearest and dearest; others are so demonstrative that they succeed in shocking co-workers who've only seen their professional side. ENTPs are also good at acquiring friends who are as clever and entertaining as they are. Aside from those two areas, ENTPs tend to be oblivious of the rest of humanity, except as an audience -- good, bad, or potential.

ENTJ here as well. I have my own company. I don't see myself ever working for someone else again. I have a business partner and occasional contractors. Mehdi, I am also stubborn. I go against the flow.

I took the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) when finishing my Bachelors about 4 years ago. At the time I was an ENTJ. I took the test again today and guess what? Still ENTJ.

You are:
moderately expressed extravert

very expressed intuitive personality

very expressed thinking personality

very expressed judging personality

Currently I'm umemployed but have had shitty luck with jobs since going back into the workforce after my son was born in Dec 2002. Now in the middle of a "career crisis" of sorts this may be a good avenue to revisit and find some direction.

I'm yet another ENTP. Interesting that those that have responded so far are overwhelmingly NT types.

INTJ, I think this matched with a test I did a couple of years ago too. I would say it's accurate for me.

I took the test a few months back and got something different but I don't remember what. However, I felt pretty confident with my responses this time, so I'll assume this is the right classification.

ENTP.
Though in my psych course, I scored evenly on ENTP and ENFP.

It makes sense. The personality profile fits me quite well according to some of my friends.
