I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Ok, first off I just registered a minute ago, but I have been reading here for a while now.
I am 24 and 5'8" and was always skinny since my early teens. Tried everything to put on weight but nothing seemed to work. Recently I even used weight gain powders in huge amounts and not even a pound of a difference on the scales.

I found this GOMAD idea on this site and decided to give it a go. Started on sunday evening and weighed myself yesterday (tuesday). Amazingly I did indeed gain 4.6lbs from 119lbs to 123.6lbs. This for me is like a miracle, because I could never gain weight at all, always stayed at 119lbs no matter what. So at the moment im trying to find a suitable gym and give this 5x5 a shot.

So do you guys think I should continue with the GOMAD in the meantime? or wait until I start lifting. I know its recommended to only use when the weight becomes challenging, but would some additional weight be a good thing for me anyway? even if it is just some additional fat. Also, do any of you guys feel tired/lethargic with all the milk?

Thanks,
Derek

Yes continue. At least until you weigh 165lbs. And make sure you lift weights, otherwise you're going to get fat instead of building muscle. Tiredness is one of the side-effects, check: http://stronglifts.com/gomad-first-week ... e-effects/

Shoot pics and keep a log. This way we can all be amazed by your progress in a couple of weeks.
