I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Testosterone levels

That Pook article was hilarious, but he avoided one essential dichotomy: the short game vs. the long game.
Testosterone might rule the short-game, but we live in a complex societal structure full of subtleties that have evolved way beyond the short game. Life spans are much longer now, and stable long-term relationships call for a delicate balance of Jerk/Nice that our cave-living forefathers could never comprehend. The big change that age brings is the awareness of the long game and what it takes to play at another level. Not necessarily better, but different, with its own rewards and challenges.

The part I like the most from the article is the thing we see with what some women do- get married with some dude and after a while the dude just becomes the "nice guy" to keep the woman happy but then you see her messing around with a jerk on the side just to please her needs that the "nice guy" can't provide. Without this the relationship dies out lol... Basically one has to know when to be a "jerk" and when to be the "nice guy" nice article!!!

That's why he talked about being able to do BOTH. If you can control both now, certainly you can do it later.

@Kyle I've checked the link http://www.t-nation.com/article/most_re ... ne&s=email and decided to figure out the total calories in the sample menu that they have in the article. For 180 lbs guy it came out 2200 calories (by http://www.caloriesperhour.com/), that is 12 cal/lb of body weight hardly a recipe for muscle gain. 214 g of protein, 97 g of fat and 140 g of carbs. 49 g of carbs are from Surge for the exercise days. I've noticed that most of the times the menus that magazines have are totally inaccurate when it comes to amount of calories that they supposed to have.
