I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Beards make you strong. It should be at the top of the list of strength requirements. Lift heavy, eat lots, grow a damn beard.

I'm on my third beard now, not counting an ugly goatee I wore when I was 19 or so. I've often worn it pretty full and wild, but it gets a bit gross when eating and so on, so I try to keep things a bit tidier these days. I've got a grey patch on the chin which I think looks kinda cool. I generally shave it down to a #3 or 4, and shave the neck up to just under the jawline.

I'm very envious of you guys. Mine doesn't grow in properly. My avatar shows the closest I got to a beard. But I do agree that a beard (even the small one I can get) does help with lifting.

I think Sébastien Chabal looks awesome. He has the whole 'caveman' look going on.

Good article about his beard here

Yeah, my beard seems to range between shorter and longer, to non-existent in the summer (far too hot to have all that facial hair!).

If I could grow a full on beard I would.. Mine is patchy at best and my g/f won't allow it...
