I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Happy to have you join, although you might also want to join the 1xBW OHP Challenge, as you're nearly there already!

He's already in that challenge. He has already achieved the goal for 1.5 BW squat. Beware of him - he's a machine, not a man.

AND he has a slight head start on us as most of us are at the 45-50kg mark, whereas he's at 57.5kg, but hey... it's all a bit of fun.

Just realised this thread has been put in a new section on the forum - "Challenges & Races" (No doubt everyone else realised this ages ago, and I've just caught up, as usual )

I see, I see. I missed that bit, DaveT. Getting to 70kg will be a very steep ascent for me and I don't think my head start will really provide any kind of advantage - given it's a good 10kg above my lean (10% bf) body weight. I just thought I'd jump on board for a bit of fun. I respond well to challenges!
In any case, once I hit 1RM OHP at my body weight, I will be in need of a new OHP challenge to keep me fighting :D

Thanks for the comments, Guru. This eating machine isn't very economical though hehe

Managed to do three sets with 51 kg yesterday. It's very heavy, and I really need to mobilise to get the weight up. 5 minutes breaks between sets helps and has become a necessity. I'm using one kg increases.

70 kg hopefully this autumn. BW - probably in years.

I'm loving the monster amount of pressing going on around the world now, just to get that 70kgs..... my next attempt will be coming back through 47.5kgs, so I have a considerable amount of catching up to do vs some of the pressers on this log. Keep it up guys!!!

Impressive, Sarge! Keep on. What's your deadlift? Your weight in lbs does not match kg.

Pressed 48.7 kg 3x5 on Wed.

What does 60kgs taste like? 50kgs tastes like failure for me at the moment :(

I don't like that flavour.

Hopefully, sweet victory or maybe a pint of Guiness. Gotta have a reward.
